when i look back tracing fingertips over plastic bags i think i wish i could extrapolate some small intention or maybe get your intention for a minute or two…
-
so… a mix between queen of the gas station & hot hot hot? that sounds very chaotic but i see the vision
-
when she does a country/synthwave song with mike dean, nikki lane, & jack donoghue & it surpasses old town road’s record for most weeks spent at the #1 spot on the billboard charts
-
that song is so amazing that i’d say it almost transcends having a genre, but those guitars are very country-esque & so satisfying to listen to
-
omg is motel-6 being reworked for ldr9?
-
i think people are forgetting that country music isn’t just mainstream “beer, trucks, hot girls & dirt-roads!” type of music, a lot of 60s classics could be considered “country”, some of which she’s covered! i’d say she’s already explored that style anyway

inflatable pool full of beans - the atlantic ocean in my mind
-
which is why she’s going to serve us a delicious country album!
-
friendly reminder that girls & women editing their photos is a product of a toxic society which holds impossible standards for women’s appearances & it should not be accepted or normalized! this isn’t directed at anybody i just felt like it should be said bc it makes me really sad that so many people (mostly women) feel the need to do this

second chorus of west coast, the instrumental becomes more intense… & the synth…
-
lana, cover some velvet morning & riders on the storm pleeeaaaseee
-
“ladies of the chorus” starring marilyn monroe this is the first movie i’ve watched starring marilyn, it’s available on youtube, & i figured, why not? it isn’t the greatest movie, but it certainly wasn’t terrible & marilyn is simply so gorgeous & wonderful i also love the fashion in this film, honestly it was wholesome despite some of the outdated attitudes, i really should watch films more often lol
-
i’ve heard it’s witchy
-
there’s obvious nirvana influence in a lot of her work from that era, disco & get drunk could easily be nirvana songs, the structures are so similar, it’s honestly so cool
-
possibly? i think there’s a bit of a western/rural influence, but that sound would be heavenly for ldr9
-
i mean, technically there is no lyrics for the album version because it was cut out, but it seems like she’s supposed to be saying “for amy & for whitney” because that’s what she sings live, there’s nothing that would suggest otherwise
-
everybody here is frothing at the mouth at the thought of country/country-esque music as if fordham road, queen of the gas station, pawn shop blues, elvis, your band is all the rage, mariner’s apartment complex, & her covers of the end of the world, summer wine, & roadhouse blues don’t exist you were ALL stanning for prettiest girl in country music, i haven’t forgotten

i am now currently reading the prequel of the casteel series, “web of dreams”, i’m half-way through it, as you can tell i’m quite the procrastinator with books & i often take long breaks when it comes to reading i like this one! i think it’s very well-written & formatted compared to “gates of paradise”, i’m convinced that v.c andrews had more outlines for this book which would make more sense, since it’s the prequel & in a way, sets the stage for the first book (which she did write) i still have plenty of v.c andrews books available to read, but some other books i’d like to read are carrie, by stephen king, lolita (of course, being aware that it’s pretty much a psychological horror) as well as poetry books, such as sylvia plath, edgar allan poe, & jim morrison
-
so relatable honestly

we could go back to woodstock, where they don’t who we are
-
i didn’t even know this video was lost
-
not me thinking she was going to drop the queen of the gas station music video
