  1. alexa play "my momma" by may jailer

but in all seriousness, this is really strange. obviously we don't know for sure what their relationship is like, but if she really didn't want to post anything about her own mother she could of just not posted anything at all? that wouldn't be difficult for her. and also sean randomly in one of the photos? what is going on  :oprah2:

  2. i actually love this idea!

    dance for money - lemonade

put me in a movie - sugar cookie

my song 57 - cotton candy

come when you call me america - tropical fruits

behind closed doors - pop rocks

    dreamgirl - coffee

fuck it i love you - peach

  3. it shouldn't matter if no one else seemed to be looking for the outfit or if it's something you could look for in other places or even make it yourself, there was no reason to be rude, nothing was wrong about what they posted. they're a new member who just wanted to start a discussion on a lana outfit they liked and wanted to find. if you have nothing nice or helpful to say, don't say it at all.

  4. You’re expecting Elizabeth to know what real life is like. She doesn’t. As I said, she was pampered. It’s a persona and, actually, people should be insulted she used that kind of stereotypical image to get where she did and stopped when it no longer suited her.. Yeah, white people can be thugs. My maternal grandfather worked for the cartel and was on the FBI’s wanted list for drug smuggling and we had the FBI coming to our house. A raid almost went down on my house because of my father. I KNOW a life she doesn’t. A life most DONT actually live. So, I’ll go back to lurking because this isn’t my scene.

isn't it a little insensitive to assume stuff about someone we don't know at all? majority of the people on this forum haven't even seen her physically in the real life, let alone spoken to her and gotten to know her. you can't assume she doesn't know stuff about "real life", but what we do know is that for some time, she helped volunteer a lot while in college, including volunteer work on indian reservations. and also, for what we know, she lived in trailer park for a little less than a year, played music in clubs and bars, and lived a fairly normal life with regular people. she wasn't filthy rich, her parents are not billionares who are so rich they have lost their grasp of reality and real people. obviously people with affluence are more likely to be out of touch with lower class people, and at this time lana may be one of these people, but that does not mean she knows nothing about real life, it makes it sound like she has never had any struggles or hardships, which is not true, we know this.

  5. I kinda get what you're saying but when u said "she has her poetry album as an obligation" I just

It's not an obligation, if she ends up not releasing that it's her choice. I know people want the spoken-word record, I want it too and she could say something about it, I agree but like, chill.

It's not the time to have that childish attitude of "SHe oWeS iT tO US. We WaNT tHE alBuM"

    I mean,

    tenor.gif

    Literally.

i suppose the wording was a little off, you are right, at the end of the day, she doesn't owe us anything. i just feel like it's a little irresponsible to put it off for so long, and instead of giving us a little update on it, even just a tweet, which is the least she could do, she decides to promote other people's work, and honestly it seems like a paid promotion. her fans didn't follow her to see little cutesy ads for psychics and skin creams, they want her, and her artistry, she comes off as not caring about it that much.

  6. i'm not the one to usually complain, i try to stay as neutral as possible - but of all the things she could of posted, she gave a quick little shoutout to a tornado in nashville and then advertised some skin care products. i know her heart is in a good place but it's really disappointing, especially considering she has her poetry album as an obligation, would it be that hard to take a quick video and update us? even just to say that she's not ready to release it yet. she's so out of touch. honestly getting tired of the white california affluent mommy matcha blogger aesthetic it's so corny.

  7. i think this is a really sweet idea, here's just my suggestion of how you could organize the book, of course you can do it however you'd like

you could list off all of her main albums/projects, and then her unreleased, which would also be chronological by the year they were recorded

    1. young like me / from the end (2005)

    2. sirens (2006)

    3. lana del ray aka lizzy grant (2008)

    4. born to die (2012)

    5. paradise (2012)

    6. ultraviolence (2014)

    7. honeymoon (2015)

    8. lust for life (2017)

    9. norman fucking rockwell (2019)

    10. unreleased (2005-2015)

i'm not sure if you are planning on doing every single song of hers, which would obviously be a task, maybe do some fan favorites and popular songs, with some underrated gems mixed in. i'd love to contribute honestly, this could be a really cool project for our community to have little "pages" of her songs, almost like posters.

  8.

You have all weekend to listen to Fiona Apple, come back on monday for a written exam  !   :teehee:  lol

ooh, you set me up for a challenge here, maybe i'll have to do this. come back on monday and write a little review and talk about the experience. being in quarantine is giving me this great opportunity to discover new music and get myself more involved in it and i feel like i've been wasting the opportunity.
