  1. i believe it's just an alternate title for the young like me EP
  2. paradise, and of course, anything lizzy <3
  3. candy necklace is one of her BEST, i hope he produces her next album
  4. she's only performed three times since she released it, i don't think it's been enough time for us to say she didn't want it released, or that she doesn't like it
  5. i think comparing the brand of shoes and whether or not a song is released or unreleased is like comparing apples to oranges, honestly, the way people feel about shoes is totally different to how they feel about songs from an artist they enjoy/their favorite artist regardless if a song is released or unreleased really shouldn't change how a person feels about the song at the end of the day, humans are not that impressionable, somebody is going to either like or dislike a song whether it is released or not, if they like what they hear, they like what they hear honestly, why does it matter so much if somebody likes a certain song whether it's released or not?
  6. honestly... why does it matter if perhaps we're a little biased? it's like you said, bias is very real, and i would agree! everybody has biases, and having biases can be pretty harmful and it is something we should be conscious about, and try to change if it could be a harmful bias, but when it comes to what lana del rey songs or demos we prefer, i don't think it's a big deal, i think we should just let people like what they like without having to psycho-analyze it, i think it's great to be open-minded towards her music, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be allowed to prefer certain demos or unreleased songs over certain released songs, we all have unique tastes, and there may be a lot that goes into why we like what we do, but listening to music by our favorite artist shouldn't be that complicated
  7. i can agree that people can have unconscious biases or preferences towards certain things, maybe some people just simply prefer some of lana's music from certain eras, or maybe their brains can just recognize what sounds, lyrics, and vibes they happen to prefer, if you really dig into it, there's probably a lot of reasons why somebody may like the music they like, their life and background, personality, what they grew up with, etc. music can be a very personal thing, but i don't think it's really wrong or points to anything psychological if somebody perhaps prefers an older demo version of a more recent song everybody knows i love the lizzy grant era and it's my favorite era, i think one could assume that maybe i'm unconsciously biased towards some of her work from that time, although i can recognize that not everybody likes the lizzy grant music as much as i do, i greatly prefer the AKA version of yayo, and i honestly really don't like the paradise version of yayo, is it because i'm just biased towards the lizzy grant era? well, maybe a little bit, but i also just don't think the overly-opulent sound of the paradise album suits yayo at all, and i also don't like her vocalization in that song, or the heavy reverb on her vocals, i don't think that's unconscious/psychological, that's just me having a preference, i think the conversation here is interesting, but at the same time, it's just music at the end of the day, and we all have very different tastes anyway, i think our community is pretty diverse when it comes to favorite eras/favorite albums from lana
  8. i mentioned it in my earlier post, but it could be recency-bias, whatever is new will be more exciting for our minds, also, regarding demos with different sounds leaking, it's sort've like a "the grass is greener on the other side" kind of phenomenon, when a demo of a song leaks and it's noticeably different, it makes us think of what could've been, but at the same time, i think some people can just listen to a demo/earlier iteration of a song and maybe just prefer it, especially when it's very, very different, like pink champagne, or lust for life (demo 1) i don't think that means there's some psychological effect there, it's been over 3 years since the first lust for life demo leaked and i still prefer it over the album version (i still like the album version though)
  9. i've been saying for a while now that if guns and roses were a leaked track it would be a fan-favorite
  10. it may have to do with people wanting to appear a bit contrarian, or perhaps there's a bit of recency-bias, something that is new and not as familiar to them may seem more appealing or better, but after a while they may feel differently once the dust has settled it depends on how different the demo is compared to the released version, it would make sense why fans may have very different opinions about lust for life, let me love you like a woman, and their demos, lust for life was mellow, spacey, atmospheric, with thought-provoking and introspective lyrics, and became more of a conventional 2010s pop song with a feature, pink champagne was rock-inspired, 6 minutes long, reminiscent of classic rock songs from the 80s, and perfectly fit the sound and feel of the ultraviolence era, and it was changed into a sparse, acoustic, mellow ballad, one could understand why some people may prefer the demos, some would even consider them objectively better it would make the most sense to say that the album versions are objectively the best, because they are the finished product, which are also properly mixed and mastered, but it also comes down to personal preference, for example, i prefer the demo version of million dollar man as opposed to the album version, because i think the album version is a little over-produced, the demo is raw in a way that almost sounds more natural and polished compared to the album version because i personally feel like the song works better as something more simple, sometimes less is more, but some demos can be really lacking, such as without you (demo 2), that song really shines with more production and a more polished sound
  11. Dark Angel

    Song vs. Song

pink champagne vs. raise me up (mississippi south)
  12. at which points/songs during the show did the lizzy grant footage appear in the background?
  13. i'm glad i'm not the only one who noticed she was holding a cat in that set of photos because i never noticed anybody else point it out lol
  14. i believe the ocean (version 2) was reliably scrobbled so it's likely that it exists, but dance for money version 2 hasn't been 100% confirmed to exist, it's speculated like the other four demos you've listed i don't really know when gas station, mermaid hotel, or smartie were registered, unfortunately, but what i can say is that the only alt. title which is confirmed/known to be an actual other version is mermaid hotel, i think anything regarding gas station and smartie being alt. versions is just speculation
  15. yeah, she was around 11, honestly i highly doubt she recorded it, but it's interesting that she still remembered it!
  16. yeah i think you should mention that CD! honestly, i don't know i always believed that longer demo with the weird extended outro to be produced by steven mertens, but i've heard other people say it was produced by david kahne, it isn't impossible, because we do have the early mixes for put me in a movie and raise me up (mississippi south), but the 4:34 demo of queen of the gas station sounds pretty similar to the "queen" demo, i really don't know lol
  17. okay, i'm reading through and here's anything that is incorrect/any additional information china palace also mentions strawberry daiquiris, according to lana herself (very minor detail lol) i personally don't think your band is all the rage is from 2006, it sounds just like her other laptop demos from 2009, but i don't know if anybody reliable has ever clarified that, that's just what i think there's also the pin up galore demo titled roller dirby, and the 2 trash magic demos, which i would assume were all produced by steven mertens, the second trash magic demo that has the exact same chorus as the final version of trash magic, the one we've had since 2012, was recorded on november 21, 2007 there's also the 1949 laptop demo (although i can understand if it's redundant to include every single demo lol) david kahne also did his own version of motel 6, and he described his version of hundred dollar bill as "progressive and aggressive"
  18. i'm only skimming through right now, but when i'm with you wasn't actually performed in may 2007, it was performed in somebody's living room, and the song was written by steven mertens 10 years prior
  19. maybe wherever the kill kill EP is mentioned? since kill kill is listed on this registration and sugarbaby also seems to include gramma
