btw did lana forget the two music videos she did last year for songs on nfr that fiily and tg will be the 'first video' in her mind
Stevie Nicks: *is 71*
Del Rey added: “Stevie's one of the few people I know that says the muse is the most important thing to her. More than anything else, her priority is just following the muse wherever it takes her, whether it’s a 60-date tour or new record or solo endeavour. So she’s inspirational like that.”Lana LOVES that Stevie is still touring! I recall her seeing Carole King, who is in her late 70s, in 2015-2016 also! LOVE IT!!!doesn't mean that she wants to tour at 71
she barely tours now at 30 something

so when do y’all think she’ll unlock her merch site and what kinda stuff do u think we’ll be getting?
her merch will be neon index cards (35.99), a neon yellow windbreaker with one her poems inscribed on the back in script font (75.99), a ship's wheel keychain with the words 'mariners apartment complex' engraved around the wheel, both in gold and rose gold (15.99), and a venice bitch beach towel with the pic of her surfing on it (55.99)
oh and a tshirt (80.99)

To be clear, I'm not blaming her for anything. Addiction isn't a character flaw. I just think it's naive to believe alcohol hasn't touched her lips since 2003, and she's been 100% drug-free since 2008 or whenever it is she claims she got sober for good (I don't recall). We can only reach so much, and this constant talk of metaphors is getting really old... Sometimes heroin is just heroin. We can ignore certain things on their own, but everything combined...yeah you can't ignore that.
can u summarize for me what happened in the past few pages since i was gone, i trust your synopsis
Well her doing drugs makes sense. She’s now singing about how she used to shoot up. On LFL a song was literally titled “Heroin”. I’m sure she does drugs, what drugs who knows. She probably just smoked weed now. Jack smokes in the studio so she probably did too. Remember that Memorial Day post where she said she was hoping she doesn’t “wipe out”? That would usually mean drunk or high so I mean she’s been public about it lately
No LFL has just always been her worst
she was surfing, sis
that's a surfing term
I think ppl mean this pic

Which is obviously not weed, was simply cigarettes
that's weed, what cigarette is crumpled like that? do you want me to believe someone rolled a cigarette at her concert?

that's why i said i appreciate it. isn't that i didn't want to hear it or i wouldn't have said i appreciate it or even played it, just that for me i'd have probably preferred to not have access to the song without the music video. nuance people, christ
i was just joking that you couldve just not listened to it until the release
-
i like the greatest, but i think there'll be other songs i prefer on NFR. obv i appreciate the google play release but i really wanted the impact of hearing it fully for the first time with a music video. this era is this era tho i guess
did google play force the song to play on all your devices or

okay here is my scope of nfr so far:
don't remember what mac vb or hope sounds like
haven't listened to doin time but heard it at the mall briefly
will not be listening to tg or fiily until album release
and that's that
i remember buying uv cd and listening to it that night with headphones in the dark lying on the floor and cruel world really invited me into that era, so why on earth would i skip a chance to do it again

kind of hard to jump into the topic of lyrics, but i don't expect someone to write about everything that's wrong in one song. it'd be too long and never ending. that's why there's multiple songs about multiple topics, some are used as distraction and dreaming and some are used for blunt discussion. it depends on the artist. however i also don't feel that each artist cover every single topic because most artists haven't had personal connection to the things that affect others and that's not their fault. if one person was expected to take on every single aspect of a society, they would collapse as a person and that isn't fair. the point is that she's adding to the discussion and saying something. it doesn't have to be everything, but it's something.
i personally understand what i feel like her lyrics are speaking because i haven't personally been affected by a mass tragedy or something close to it. i'd rather her write from her own perspective and be hopeful than try to write from something she wouldn't understand. i'd rather add a side to the discussion than lie. lying is more hurtful to the cause.

That is disrespectful of them and I would be annoyed too.
I hope people aren't blaming Lana though. I mean yeah she was signing stuff but she's always been like that with her fans.
i wouldn't blame her either unless she did it during his speech
-
they're over dramatic
im pretty sure if that was embarrassing him she'd do something cuz she's the nicest person
and she's famous and have fans that would be obvious, they could stop allowing ppl from getting inside and watch if they want
i think you're missing the point. yes, it's inevitable that lana will have fans show up to a location she will be attending and they will cheer and yell for her. the problem is that the ceremony was to celebrate someone else for their hard work and dedication in the arts so it's rude of others to scream over him during his own speech and thank you's. the fans are grown enough to know better than that and to be quiet for five or ten minutes, so tell lana's fans to chill not the people that were trying to listen to guillermo during his own star presentation.

I wonder if California and Bartender were submitted for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. They’re the only tracks Jack didn’t work on (according to the credits) minus The Next Best American Record (but we know that one had been on Lana’s mind for a while). 24 on Honeymoon is speculated to have gotten the same treatment in regards to the James Bond film. Based on the titles of these two I could see them fitting the campy LA feel of the film. I guess we’ll see when the record comes out and if more information is revealed about the songs!
the movie's been out for a week we'd have heard it by now

All forums are like this you have to suck it up. The mods won’t do anything unless it’s like death threats, racism etc. Then they might act. Otherwise it’s a case of ignoring it. We do get very bitchy here but it’s rarely actually personal. Like calling someone ‘delusional and you must be sick in the head’ for not liking the album cover for example. Sound horrible but it’s not really that bad it’s banter.
they literally gave me a strike because of sarcastically being off topic in the nfr thread what tab do you have open

stevie has fleetwood mac in addition to her solo endeavors though and i believe they just ended/are currently on their final tour
i just can't see modern music culture touring like how some are touring in their 60s+ now so i don't know
no, not necessarily
