    The thing with Lana is that she would actually answer A LOT of questions about her album and music if people would just fucking ask her all the right things, but nobody ever does. Lana usually seems quite generous when confronted with questions but all the dumb twinks do when they meet her is scream, take a picture and talk about their fav song serial killer. Idiots

     

    do you mean the same lana that only goes on live, looks at herself and says hi to weadorelana?

    I can't speak on people bashing Billie but I think you've got it backwards on why people are angry about her release. We KNOW Billie would've outsold Lana if they both released at the same time, and her record label knows it too. Lana's not the threat, Billie is. This is probably why people are angry, irritated, and disappointed at the whole situation. This is LANAboards after all, you can't blame us for putting LANA first.

     

    that's what i was expressing, too. i was responding to the comment specifically assuming that interscope was scared to put lana out the same day because it might 'ruin billie's career' which isn't the case. i get the lana thing as well, i mean i'm on here too lol it was just a bit delusional after a few comments

    Just like Justin Bieber, Billie will fade with time. The only child prodigy who really kept themselves on the throne was Michael Jackson.

    exactly. also the whole "we should hate Billie because her album got NFR pushed back" makes no sense logically, and really proves the opposite. if that's even what happened, it means Lana is enough of a threat to Billie that the label didn't want Lana to overshadow Billie's debut, especially since the label is clearly pushing Billie as the next big thing in pop music. Lana and Billie make darker, less traditional pop music. That's really where the comparison starts and ends. 

     

    she's all over Twitter and apparently she's now the best selling artist... she's far from being forgotten. we might hear about her for maybe one year or two. let's not forget that she's supposedly a "child prodigy" so we're gonna talk about her and her album for a while i think. i can't imagine how Lana is feeling rn   :toofunny:   :toofunny: she must regret those candids she took with her 

     

    are y'all delusional? WHY are you all taking down another artist in defense of a person you never met and don't know because you feel personally attacked that nfr isn't out? are you stupid or just childish? i don't really think lana was going to 'outshine' billie's release. yes, lana does have a huge fanbase, but billie also does. and billie also has the advantage of a 'debut album' release where people might just listen to it because she's new. stop being petty for lana's sake... like i don't think that one would top the other if released on the same day, you act like people can't buy more than one album if released at the same time. and even if that were the case and they were both released as stated, billie would probably still sell more because of what i stated above. also lana still has the stigma of writing very particular music and it doesn't age well over time with the general music scene, like no one is doing it and no one really looks for it outside of expecting it from lana so what do y'all actually expect to happen? it's so sad to watch this

    I just wanted to say that I live in a place where there's mountains and woods and lakes but no beaches so today we drove a few hours to a near city to go to this beach. I was really high, went for a walk and had a beautiful moment listening to Venice Bitch before sunset. I already think the song is one of Lana's best but listening to it in that context, the sea, people roller skating, it is so an end of summer track and it captures that feeling beautifully. I don't know, it was magical. If we at least get two more songs like VB all this waiting and silence will be forgiven.

    i meant more from the perspective like 'oh i'm just not going to do anything because i can do whatever i want and get away with it because i'm so rebellious and my daddy said it's okay' all the music she had before ldr would fall into the nyc presentation to me

    i couldve worded it better. i meant that the state the album was in (the way she wanted it to be like originally) interscope did not like causing a delay in release. i dont think its really HER holding back this album just how it really wasnt her during UV

     

    got it, but i think she could at least actively do something instead of go on strike this is at least how it seems

    anyway i feel like lana posting on missdaytona was just a distraction we fell for and there's no way it's okay of her to say "who knows when it's coming out" because she literally should have an idea. does she have to say it? no, but that reaction is kind of different than being coy on purpose, she's just being flighty for fun
