I wholeheartedly agree. However, I don't think it necessarily makes it a bad song. I like Savages because despite being nothing short of an inspirational Instagram post it's so "bad" it's kinda good. Like, she doesn't have to be on spot each and every time, just look at the choruses in Froot: Yeah, u-uh, oooh, yeah Forget, forget, forget, forget Like weeeeeeeds like weeeeeeds yeah yeah they're not lyrical masterpieces but I like them because it's Marina. She's being herself, in a lazy, clumsy kind of way. And it's good. Like we're talking about the same person who bought a kickstarter-funded cellphone to detox from social media only to carry an iPhone X with herself too... like it's comical. It's a parody. And we love her for that. The major issue is a lot of fans have started to hold her at this impossible wellness guru-like, deep philosophical figure, which she has never been. And on L+F it shows Sex Yeah is a much more in-depth social cmentary song because she's not just spewing out lines taken from tumblr but actually saying something. And you can tell that a LOT of people on here think she's this Dalai Lama type figure that's gonna guide as out of the light. I guess every artist has those fans, Marina just started taking notes which... homegirl needs to listen to Philosopher My Arse again

to be human is a nice song imo it has the best chord progression of the album and it doesn't have a production that screams cheap chainsmokers indie synth that's gonna go out of style in two years like karma (which i love still)

i didn't say it doesn't serve a purpose, i said it's clumsy. i can't explain why it does in detail, but it's such a weird line like why talk about the corpse of a dead communist leader? just because you mentioned russia? she mentioned brasil, italy and japan too, and didn't (thank god) add these details it's so random and it doesn't jive at all with the rest of the song. it's fine if you think whatever marina writes deserves the pulitzer, and i can't obviously change your mind (i don't even want to), i was just pointing out how it's, again, clumsy. there's really no other way to put it

I'm really sorry Marina feels this way but it's clear her issues/mental health state have little to do with the so-called bad reviews. It's fine being let down (and even frustrated, as she was with TFJ) because you had expected a different reaction for the public, but this is way more than that and it's dishonest to blame it on the "bad reviews" as if mental health was dictated by your average score on Metacritic. Also, her reviews aren't even that bad. Like, for the large part they are either mixed or good (not excellent, but good). It's clear this album has been overall met decently/well by the public. I struggled to find more than 2 bad reviews in a row on Google. And don't tell me she reads LB lmao You realize that, despite personal appreciation, which does vary, pretty much every review (and I've scrolled through a lot) states that in some way L+F has lost edge? Like it's not something I made up because I hate her, a lot of people feel this way, enough to fill 2 google pages worth of blog reviews and many other user reviews too (especially on RYM). Again this is regardless of the mark. A lot of positive reviews acknowledge this while still appreciating the record

yeah but none of this happens within the show. you can't justify something that happened because "you had predicted", it still has to happen in the show in a way that it make s sense and it didn't. authorial intent doesn't matter if it doesn't translate into text (or, in this case, video). i don't care if they wanted dany to end this way, they didn't show it (3 episodes are not enough)

i do think that when george sought to expand the universe into 4 additional books he set her up to be mad, and it kinda makes sense since inbreeding causes madness and basically nobody wanted her in westeros, but she should've gone mad as a result of AT LEAST a season worth of plot. like, the death of missandei + the fact that she was alone + the fact that she wasn't the rightful heir to the throne etc. also i hate the fact that they painted her as the bad guy, it's not her fault jon had targaryen blood. she had fought so hard to get the seven kingdoms, only to have it crushed by him. like anybody would snap. yet they made it look like she was suddenly this evil figure with no redeeming qualities and it sucks

The ending wasn't bad per se, but there has been a considerable decrease in quality and rhythm ever since the sixth season. The last truly epic scene in GOT was Olenna Tyrell's death (which happened in the beginning of the seventh), and this whole eights season was the most anticlimactic and badly written season I've ever seen. Years of prophecies, world-building, creating tension among characters, to have Cersei killed by a rock Dany burn a city to the ground Tyrion pulling a Tati Westbrook on Dany real fake because she'd killed his brother what? We got NO explanation for the White Walkers, Azor Ahai, the Valonqar prophecy, the Lord of Light, Melisandre, like what the actual fuck? Are you fucking kidding me? Is this some Lost type shit? Like genuinely the best subplots in the entire show just... brushed off? As for the ending, I'm not really bitter that Bran was king, although I do feel like his character was fucking useless. The only thing he EVER did was confirm (because we already knew it) that Jon is a Targaryen. He was of NO HELP whatsoever. I'm glad Sansa gets to be the queen of the North because she deserves it, but idk. Like this ending lacked closure. By a lot. I don't know if yall have seen The Americans, and I'm not gonna spoil the ending for yall, but it's truly the perfect ending and how every tv show should end. Realistic, with tension, build up, and closure. The only time this episode had any of this is when Dany was killed, and it was very poorly handled imo. The shots were beautiful tho and I liked it Overall, a very bad ending to a tv show that was literally the most talked about tv show in the world for some years straight. I mean I'm not a fan and I'm not really touched by it, but it's kinda sad to see a relatively decent franchise go to waste. Well edit: I know the Valonqar prophecy can be partially explained by Margaery and I do feel like she's the woman in the prophecy, but Cersei should've had a proper ending. Like, again, no closure, and she was probably the one people had been looking forward to seeing dead the most. If this sentence makes sense in english (probably doesn't)
