I've always had a love/hate relationship with this song. I love the verses, but the chorus is terrible. She should've re-written the chorus, especially the melody. The chorus melody just feels so out of place I feel like it was written and recorded around the same time as Hollywood's Dead

BTD came out when I was a younger teenager, but I didn't listen to it until I was 17. The first song by her that I heard was technically Video Games, but I hated it. I was hospitalized in the winter of 2014, and when I got back to school, my friend (who tried showing me Video Games) pleaded to give her another chance, and that she felt I would love her song Dark Paradise. The first time I heard it, I fell in love. Soon I listened to Summertime Sadness (I had never heard the song before 2014, I didn't listen to pop or the radio back then). Eventually, I heard the whole album. I fell in love with Diet Mountain Dew, and the rest is history

okay you have a point. while i think it's the weakest song on the album, it is a nice closing track
