I think this situation is a great opportunity for us to learn more about the conflict between Israel and Palestine. But don’t just look at a couple sources and be done. Really absorb all you can from everywhere before forming a true opinion. Israelis and Palestinians have a complex history, and innocent people are dying. However, do take in account your opinion about other countries, like the US, who have killed several innocent people, and what about that situation makes it different. I’ve been educating myself more since this concert was scheduled, and I’m still looking into it. It really isn’t a simple issue.

Fair, I just don't find your point convincing for a boycott against Israel as if Hamas or the Palestinian Authority has no role in the violence. I'm not saying Israel is innocent, but I don't think your opinion about Lana playing there is justified.

Yes I agree, but the minute people start throwing words like genocide and ethnic cleansing then that is what I see as dangerous and manipulative towards unaware people. I have been doing my own research, but I doubt outsiders like me who have a strong opinion about this as if they have the experience and solution. I just wanted to make that point.

You’re right, it’s not your story to tell, and I encourage those members to speak out. But I also encourage Israeli members to speak out since there are different perspectives to this situation. Most of us are outsiders and have no concrete understanding besides the articles and reports we see and hear. But Palestinian members should understand that Lana isn’t against them since most outsiders like us aren’t exposed enough to this issue to give an educated opinion. However, I believe it’s better to acknowledge both Israel and Palestine than to disregard them altogether. Everybody wants to be right, but I don’t think anyone can be.

The first link was actually helpful, so thank you, but the other two are incredibly bias. Also, unlawful killing does not equal genocide or ethnic cleansing. Those are serious terms that should not be thrown around for this situation. From what I read, it's a continuous fight over territory, and several people have died unlawfully on both sides. Just because many groups boycott Israel doesn't mean they're 100% factual and non-bias. Question before y'all go all out. PS, the internet does not always help.

Lana wouldn't even approach this issue years ago. What a step forward in her personal growth. Glad to see her create her own solution instead of backing down.
