The Red Woman liked a post in a topic by sweetie in Old Money
Blue hydrangea, cold cash divine
Cashmere cologne, and white sunshine
Red racing cars, Sunset and Vine
The kids were young and pretty
Where have you been, where did you go
Those summer nights seem long ago
And so is the girl, you used to call
"The Queen of New York City"
But if you send for me, you know I'll come
And if you call for me, you know I'll run
I'll run to you, I'll run to you
I'll run run run
I'll come to you, I'll come to you
I'll come come come
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh...
Aah, aah, aahh....
The power of youth, is on my mind
Sunset, small town
I'm out of time
Will you still love me when I shine
From words but not from beauty
My father's love was always strong
My mother's glamour lives on and on
Yet still inside I felt alone
For reasons unknown to me
But if you send for me, you know I'll come
And if you call for me, you know I'll run
I'll run to you, I'll run to you
I'll run run run
I'll come to you, I'll come to you
I'll come come come
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh...
Aah, aah-ah-ah-ahh..
And if you call, I'll run run run
If you change your mind, I'll come come come
Ooh, ooh, ooh...
Aah, aah-ah-ah-ahh..
Blue hydrangea, cold cash divine
Cashmere cologne, and white sunshine
Red racing cars, Sunset and Vine
And we were young and pretty

The Red Woman liked a post in a topic by getdrunk in Lana Del Rey: 'I wish I was dead already' (The Guardian Interview)
This is so sad... Listening to Old Money while reading this didn't help at all. In some ways, I understand how she feels, glorifying death, finding peace in it and all. The fact that Lou Reed was just about to collaborate with her and died though, wow.

It really feels to me like Lana being possessive over the record executive that also worked with Gaga and became increasingly distant with the former and more attached to the latter.
This song grew on me a lot with a second listen. I love the theme of the corruption of power in this album.

that's how she is for me! There's just something about her that's so addicting- her image is amazing and god her music is beyond beautiful! She literally is a little bit of everything, I'm not gay so I don't really care about her lyrics (love wise) I've always liked her hip hop influences .. I don't know her music is just something different and so special to me. It's hard to explain (sorry) but god do I fucking love that woman!
