  1. I'm expecting the video to be a Blue Valentine-esque love story, showcasing both happy and troubling moments from a relationship.
  2. What if we get a track list and cover soon after or together with the West Coast release like the Ride/Paradise trajectory?
  3. Agree, but it would be pretty cool for her to remaster a single song like Kill Kill that parallels the supposed UV sound/symbolism quite well.
  4. Yeah, I mean, we had heard several of the BTD demos prior to the official release, but it wasn't any less exciting for me.
  5. Well, I definitely agree with the bit about production vs. lyrics, but I absolutely loved AFFA's production, haha. It's all a matter of personal taste, I guess. I like slow and subtle.
  6. I always wondered if these were recorded for a potential covers album that was discarded, or solely because they were songs that inspired/appealed to Lana. They both perfectly fit the UV sound she initially described as well.
  7. LOL, you're good. I mean I see the similarity with a couple of lyrics, but AFFA is much more mellow and 60s rock-esque while Ride seems more blues-oriented. I love the lyrics of both, but I think AFFA's are a step better. Just my opinion, though.
  8. I know this has been said often, but I really wish BB and AFFA had not leaked. They seem like such perfect fits for the theme of UV and both are incredibly gorgeous, mature works. I hope they still make it onto the album...not sure what the chances of AFFA making it are, though. BB seems sort of likely when you take Rob's hints and some of the fan rumors into consideration.
  9. No, I love Rob! He cracks me up and he's really sweet with fans.
  10. With the rise of Adele and bands like Mumford and Sons and Bon Iver? I'm not saying that the GP loves chamber pop in general, but Ride seemed like a more accessible form of it that they tend to eat up.
  11. I was very surprised at Ride's lack of success with the GP...it seemed like the type of chamber pop that they love.
  12. Really? I thought the subtle, indie rock production was gorgeous.
  13. What if West Coast is the real title for AFFA? She and Bradley are dressed like Hells Angels, which are based on the West Coast, and "Does the ocean inspire, easy rider?"
  14. He's probably just playing with our hearts again. I love his sense of humor...even if it kills me around release dates.
  15. @robgrantdotcom Busy night tonight...something is in the air Oh, Rob.
  16. I wish we could decipher who the director is. I'm positive it's not Woodkid because of the director's appearance and the fact that he's currently in Rio. He doesn't look like Mandler either. It could always be somebody new, though. The DP in one shot sort of looks like Chris Sweeney (director of Y&B's video).
  17. Yeah, she's probably adapting "ultraviolence" to metaphorically describe a volatile relationship. Also, lol at Rob teasing yet again: "@robgrantdotcom 1h @EmreXtina I'll be on the west coast next week!"
  18. She doesn't have to completely change key things about herself, like her image and what inspires her, to have moved forward sonically with the new album. I think the pictures are quite naturally gorgeous and support the "stripped down yet beautiful" description she gave her new music.
  19. It says she was "active" whenever they add to the indie pop playlist.
