    She’s so annoying because we all know this will be the NTMT Reloaded Pt. 3 tour but wow the camera loves her :hdu: she looks so good and healthy, especially her hair (As If! flashbacks)

    The single sounds very inspired to these ears! It has so much going on but it doesn’t ever sound overproduced. I love the palpable sense of urgency for something to survive you in the grander scheme of things. She must know by now her inimitable artistry won’t be forgotten so she speaks instead about a more general cosmic insignificance. It sounds like a truism but I do take it for granted how we have the brief honor of finding beauty in living/touching the souls of others from different walks of life. I’m totally on board with this era.

    Like @Surf Noir said, spending your faculties on aggressively berating an artist who is ultimately doing you/everyone else no harm derails the dialogue the rest of the thread wants to engage in. Being done with her should mean she has no power over you. We all have our frustrations with her inert career (as does Sky herself) but there are productive ways to vent about it. No one in here is saying she can go scot free but her broken promises and delays don’t warrant this extreme and constant dunking on such a personal level.

    Apart from them both working with Jorge, I don’t really hear the comparisons with Hatchie? I find her melodies are more saccharine. She definitely tugged on Sky’s wig with Keepsake though :teehee:

    His music is hit or miss for me but a Weeknd collab would’ve made sense for Sky, considering he was already aware of her way back when. I could definitely hear her on something like Secrets off of Starboy or Out of Time on his newest record.

    We don't know if Sky ever got around to recording Live to Tell, but I remember she tweeted about wanting to cover the song in early 2019 (which I can't find anymore due to her Twitter deletion), and it was also on her '80s essentials playlist from 2014 (along with Voices Carry).... so it wouldn't surprise me if she did!

    I think she’s even referenced Guardian being her Live To Tell, the double release we deserved  :xcry:

    Speaking of her playlists, I’ve rinsed the Sky International one on her Spotify so many times. There’s a lot of good music she’s put me on (Linda Perhacs and Burial), a true tastemaker.

    I’m happy to hear there’s an album for those of you who have waited :party: I might use this as an opportunity to finally dive into her discog, I only really know a handful of songs (You’re so Cool is my favorite).

    Do y’all recommend going chronologically or doing the essentials first then working backwards?

    I just read the review and I personally couldn’t agree less tbh. This album is many things but lethargic is not one of them… I also have trouble believing they miss the vulgarity of previous albums because I just know they would’ve dragged her for “regressing now that she had full control” or some bs like that.

    It’s a crime she’s not putting this on the album :facepalm:  Idk why she’s finishing this then unless she has plans to make it a droplet like she did with Child King but we all know what happened with that so… hoping for the best.

    No shade but Sky’s videos aren’t very impressive/inventive to me (aside from YNTO) so she might as well skip the DF mv :lmao: 

    If she’s just gonna be singing along to it looking gorgeous in her gown and makeup, great but it doesn’t feel essential

    This could very well be the case but I don’t know, I don’t think they have that much communication/they’d invest this much in her (and understandably so). If they let her release two singles already without demanding a whole album be turned in they could easily greenlight Descending too. This is the same label that didn’t press NTMT upon release so I doubt they care enough to plan a whole campaign when we know Masochism will realistically only make a dent in gay indie Twitter

    It’s technically true there’s no reason for them to prioritize her but @eyelovelefteye told us months ago that Descending had already been submitted, who said she missed the deadline?
