I keep trying to convince myself that OB's brilliance will be enough to carry me through the wait for Lasso, but the more I listen and revisit Lana's discography, the more impatient I grow I schooled myself on whatever the hell 'American Songbook styled' might mean and I do gather that she has already applied a lot of those elements throughout her music, especially Honeymoon, which I think also has a dreamy, gothic-influence to it and that's why she referenced it in the Vogue interview.

I guess what she means by 'lighter' is that the lyrical content will be less personal and not as loaded as much of OB, Hope, etc.

Since she said mentioned lighter lyrical content, JUSTICE FOR I MUST BE STUPID FOR BEING SO HAPPY!

I supposed it's a good thing that she'll be releasing next year, because this year is packed with anticipated releases for me I know I can always rely on Lana for good music, anyway, so I'll let my greed rest (especially since Eusexua might finally see the light of day).

Well... I wish we could have gotten a release date for the first single.

I know that Lana has said that once an album is released, she doesn't really feel a connection to it, but I'd really like for her to give Lasso a much stronger era. We can always rely on the music to be good, that's always certain, but it would really be engaging if there were more visuals, more live performances and a tour. OB was quite huge, but it definitely could have been much bigger if she inspired much more engagement with the album. The music was basically working by itself...

I'd actually love for her to include it on a compilation of outtakes of her much sweeter, more optimistic moments, like Say Yes to Heaven and Because of You. It would eat.
