Would love something like this on COCC, especially since the sound seems to be similar to the direction into which COCC is going.

Maybe not the best word to describe it, true... but it does grow in intensity after the "my looo-oh-oh-ve" bit.

I think you either love COCC or hate it. It's that kind of a track. I simply LOVE it. It's not a complex song / melody, but there's something about that simplicity that makes it sophisticated. And I'm obsessed with the second half of the instrumental, when it starts growing and becomes a bit more aggressive, yet in contrast with her soft voice. I also love the layering in: UNDER THE CHEMTRAILS OVER THE COUNTRY CLUB / You're born in December and I'm born in June Under the chemtrails over the country club / YOU'RE BORN IN DECEMBER AND I'M BORN IN JUNE Genius!

As the Mojo reviewer mentioned, this album is more personal and thus probably makes her a bit uncomfortable knowing that she'll be sharing her thoughts and past experiences with the world. That doesn't mean that she dislikes the album and I'm pretty sure that she wouldn't release something if she's not happy with the end result.

I don't really consider LMLYLAW the first single... I see it more as a promo track, something that sets the mood for the new era & album. For me: 1st single: COTCC 2nd single: WD
