Calling it a "live performance" is a huge reach on their part but it was nice getting a different mix/vocal take/music vid of a song at least. Still would love to see a high quality recording of any live performance from her some time tho lmao

ADIAML is such a cute album I'm still not over it! There was definitely something lacking in terms of diversity of songs and it isn't the best lyricism of her career, but it's growing on me a lot. I don't love that the first 4 songs of the album had all been released already, it felt like only half of the album was new content considering it's only 10 tracks. All the more reason for a deluxe version I hope we can bully her into an expanded version with PC, HL, INHA (the song that I got into a spat w her about once LMAO) and maybe even a cover or something? I've always wanted her to cover Kate Bush or something classic, and god knows she needs to flesh out this album a bit. I'd even take a remix tacked onto the end. I think I'm getting my hopes up a little too high

I just checked and songs like Serial Killer, Backfire, Back to the Basics, BBM Baby and Hollywood are all Shazam-able I wonder what sort of database Shazam pulls from bc it's definitely not any music streaming platform

I'm honestly really into the idea of her doing remixes with different artists, especially bc there's no features on the album itself. But the collabs have been kind of obscure and honestly,,,.,. really not good. There's so much potential there to get a new/relevant/interesting artist on some of her tracks, but instead we got "cum on your face like pow pow??" Not into it

speaking of target exclusives I secretly really miss target-exclusive tracks... like I know they suck as a concept but something about them being so inaccessible made me love them more. I still have such an attachment to Flipside and Is This Happiness You just had to go so far out of your way for them that they felt like fan-exclusive songs. Secretly hoping we get one on BB

I know everyone hates For Free but it was literally so lovely to see Joni's influence!! I would love a Carey-esque, upbeat song from Lana w the cute background vocals. She fkn loves covers and isn't afraid to cover the same people frequently (cc: nina simone) so it's not out of the question that we'd get more 60s/70s covers, especially if she's still in that phase Even thinking about something like Season of the Witch! I'd be okay w/ some filler song that's a cover of a classic

Not just you. It was definitely hard to like, conceptualize it as a project and an era. She kept talking about all of her future plans and all of the different projects she was working on throughout it, and it feels like she didn't really give it much solo attention if that makes sense. None of her recent album rollouts have been... ideal, but cocc in particular felt really nebulous and hard to pin down conceptually. I'm hoping she'll have more of a cohesive sort of thing going on for BB. For example the picsart thing is definitely weird as hell but at least it's consistent so far LMAO

I'm still thinking about this: it's probably just promo for Violet but it makes me wonder about LA Who Am I and what that song was meant for (and even if it'll end up on BB )
