Not just you. It was definitely hard to like, conceptualize it as a project and an era. She kept talking about all of her future plans and all of the different projects she was working on throughout it, and it feels like she didn't really give it much solo attention if that makes sense. None of her recent album rollouts have been... ideal, but cocc in particular felt really nebulous and hard to pin down conceptually. I'm hoping she'll have more of a cohesive sort of thing going on for BB. For example the picsart thing is definitely weird as hell but at least it's consistent so far LMAO

I'm still thinking about this: it's probably just promo for Violet but it makes me wonder about LA Who Am I and what that song was meant for (and even if it'll end up on BB )

I am so much more hyped for this album than cocc for some reason. I love cocc to death but her rollouts don't tend to cultivate hype bc she'll tease stuff and then disappear for months. It's just this cycle that makes me feel like I can't/shouldn't get too excited for anything from her bc releases are so unreliable and I never wanna get my hopes up But something about this has me SO excited?!?! I think because it's so unexpected and such a quick turnaround. Even if it comes out similar to cocc in some ways, the snippet sounds really gorgeous in a very different (almost more regal??) way from cocc. TL;DR i'm PUMPED

i hope the leakers will give us something on June 1 bc i know we're all gonna be so disappointed when nothing comes out

I feel like people had this thought with Swan Song when HM came out, and she's given us 3 albums since then so I can't say I'm super worried about Marina leaving music yet!

Anyone have thoughts on Happy Loner and Pink Convertible, the snippets we already got? My guess is that, based on the lyrics and titles, Pink Convertible ended up being Ancient Dreams In a Modern Land while Happy Loner ended up being I Love You But I Love Me More. If either of these don't end up on the album in some form I'll be so fkn sad. Happy Loner especially! It sounds so beautiful. I hate it when she teases new stuff and then doesn't release it. I got into a spat w her in like 2014 when the Froot tracklist came out and INHA wasn't on it LMFAO. Hoping that we see these at some point bc 11 tracks is kinda short

I know a lot of this is prob her label's fault but she's kind of losing me at this point. She actually had me pretty hyped for this album but waiting this long between singles has made me lose interest. I've loved all the snippets, but it doesn't mean much if I can't hear any of the full songs 5 months after the lead single
