  8. I'm believe this is like an excerpt from her full interview with The Sun source: http://www.music-news.com/shownews.asp?H=Lanas-telepathic-romance&nItemID=80678 Lana Del Rey says her connection with boyfriend Barrie-James O'Neill feels 'telepathic'. The 27-year-old Shades of Cool singer has been in a relationship with the Scottish musician since 2011. And according to Lana their bond continues to grow stronger. 'He is definitely a poet. I didn't really know what being a poet meant until I met him. He has changed me in ways that I didn't expect,' she explained to British newspaper The Sun. 'On the one hand I have everything I've dreamed of in terms of a soul connection, it's almost telepathic.' Although they have a powerful bond, Lana admits she finds being in a relationship challenging sometimes. The star also dismisses speculation she and Barrie-James are getting married. 'I would be lying if I said it wasn't difficult. He is a much darker character than most people I've ever met,' she shared. 'We always joke around about how we should have found simpler counterparts. There are rumours we are engaged. We are not but we are together.' Lana struggled with alcohol and drug addiction in the past. The songstress confesses it's been taking a huge amount of willpower on her part to remain sober recently. 'I've loosened up a lot which means before, when I was depressed I wanted drink and now I am feeling good I still want to drink,' she laughed. 'But I think back to when I was in high school and I'd been taking a lot of drugs. We were crushing up truck driver pills, called bumblebees. I was self-medicating and needed to stop. You can't get through your day and work like this unless you are Keith Richards. So I stopped and I had to or none of this would've happened.' Lana's third album Ultraviolence is released on Friday June 13.
  9. What Lana needs to do is take her family and friends and go on a well deserved vacation, somewhere tropical where her dad can show off all his shirts and she can do whatever the fuck she wants and see new people and find new inspiration because life is beautiful and girl you even wrote a song about it, I refuse to believe you don't see it.
  10. I don't know how many times this needs to be said, but god damn people, we don't know her. Yeah, it's normal to express concern and think about hypothetical issues, but starting to talk about depression based on just an interview is not alright . It is a real illness, that some people actually have and it's nothing compared to what she is saying. As much as it can affect anyone of us, it is not as common as most people tend to say. Especially clinical depression. I wish her all the best and I hope she will eventually find that peace that she has for so long been looking for. I'm sure it will come. Fame has taken away most of that freedom in which she used to find comfort before, but it has also brought a lot of good things and i'm sure she knows that. I hope she gets to meet more musicians like Dan, who has obviously been a great influence on her and on her music.
  11. it's pretty hard to make out some of the words, especially in v1. other than that, they're cool
  12. y'all should really read up on Gemini lol I have a friend who is exactly the same. now he's fucking happy and one second later his life is shit.
  13. I also believe it was a moment thing. I mean she spoke about wanting kids and now about being dead. Who of us hasn't thought about both those things? Two crucial moments in anyone's life, it's only natural. The only difference is that you don't say that to journalist, you say it to friends. lol But now that she did, oh well.
  14. I'm honestly not that shocked simply because of all the shit that goes through my own mind half of the time. it's sad, but it's reality. all these famous people, we think that they don't have problems, that they're not allowed to when they have what they have (fame, money etc.), and when they do speak about them we fucking blame them, like "how dare you? you were supposed to be perfect."
  15. Oh yeah, I meant it like she thought about actually doing it. Like being on the verge of it, you know? I mean, I can only hope she hasn't, of course.
  16. people don't understand the length of her mind and take everything too literally. the fact that she said she wants to die does not mean that she contemplates suicide or something along those lines. she has a very philosophical and spiritual view on life, so death can be just as gratifying as life in that way. it still is sad to think that such a troubled soul can bring us such happiness. But maybe her saying something this personal is a sign that she truly doesn't care that much about what people say about her anymore. I mean, she's opened up quite a lot about a bunch of stuff lately and I don't believe she would've done that without being fully aware that not all people will understand her/empathize with her and they will still judge her mindlessly, much like some of us on here do, unfortunately.
  17. ^ This, tho. I feel you, girl. this is her 24/7 when she listens to the radio lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ps-vuHn0pY
