Maybe I'm just a cynical bitch (especially when it comes to LFL) but to me, it seems like she wrote it without the swearing, and then went, "I want this song to be angrier/edgier" and just tacked those words onto the ends of some of the lyrics, rather than working them into the song. Like I don't hate that she did that, but I can't help but feel that the lyrics that immediately precede the swearing would resonate more without it. However, I can understand your point-of-view. Going by the responses, it works for some people, and not for others.

Lots of you seemed to have missed my point so maybe I didn't make it very well. It's more to do with the placement of those words within the song, not the fact that they are in it. I like the song overall. And I mean, she purposely made them stick out by punctuating the lyrics with them (eg: "I fall to pieces ... BITCHHHH"), so I don't really understand your statement, but okay.

I'm a bit worried that sis is trying too hard to be a guttersnipe; obviously I don't mind swearing but suddenly it's in the album title, song titles, etc. Tbh that's my biggest complaint with Cherry ... the random "fuck"s and "bitch"s seem so unnecessary and I don't feel they add anything to the song. Maybe this should be filed under unpopular opinions but whatever. So I just hope it's like ... purposeful swearing in this album, and not just because of her midlife crisis. Also I read a few pages of one of the books she recommended and it was about wilderwomen drinking from the same streams as wolves, and it made me want to kms. Obviously I'm just not enlightened enough to understand the appeal.

I disagree; Gay Jailer is in that group chat and they are a notorious troll.
