I think it's sad that Blue Banisters will be her first album without a 5 star title track. BTD, UV, Honeymoon, LFL, NFR and COCC's title tracks were all among the best tracks on their respective albums. Frankly, I'd put Blue Banisters at the bottom of the four songs we have for that album rn and I'd definitely expect - and hope - that other songs on the album would surpass it, too. ETA: Also, given that AKA didn't have a title track, I think she should put one on her next album to make up for it The power that a song called "Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant" could have

I 100% understand why she (and Chunk) would want to keep it private but I'm so sad we didn't get a picture of Auntie Lana with baby Phoenix It would've been the cutest thing EVER Maybe someday
-
Everyone is getting along just fine for now
-
Honestly I'm just here because I have nothing more to say in the BB pre-release rn
-
All good I brought it up because some people are pulling Alex Parliaments and stating their opinions as if they are facts and they are not. She did what she did and it remains to be seen what will happen. And @Mer can try to shut down the discussion by using "PERIOD" and useless charts all he wants but his opinion is no more valid than anyone else's
-
They've said many times they let her do what she wants, and I'm sure this is no exception So yes they would (as they should)
-
? This has nothing to do with my point so I'm not sure how to respond tbh, or what your point is Whoosh
-
Except this discussion is about wayyyy more than likes Full stop.

I just don't know why some people word their posts as if they are so sure of what Lana is thinking or what the outcome of her decisions will be Nobody knows. In fact, I doubt even she or her managers know - I think this is all experimental on her part with the hope that it will improve her wellbeing with minimal impact on the business side of things
-
I don't necessarily agree with it but the post makes sense to me At times, Lana has seemed to take her fanbase for granted but people aren't ready for that conversation
-
Okay but this just doesn't make sense to me. Can you please elaborate as to why you feel this way? IMO, what makes Honeymoon so good is that it's such a classic mood album. The entire album has this vibe that's like ... idk how to articulate. It just reminds me of those days in the summer that are so hot that they make you feel tired in the afternoon, but in a peaceful, happy way. I love it so much. And then it's just really cinematic and vibrant, too.

They're from an time without the internet, though. People got on board with them and their music before it even existed so it's not the same Lana has a different demographic and emerged during a very different time We can all argue forever about whether or not this will have an impact but unless you're (not you specifically, Bluebird) a marketing or music industry expert then idk how anyone can be sure It depends how long she's gone for, whether there are other forms of promotion, etc I can't see her staying away for too long, however
-
What I meant by that was that the departure video seemed very heartfelt and sincere so if she were to show up on album release day or whatever, it'd be a little suss And she doesn't need sm to promote but it certainly helps.
-
It'd be pretty funny ngl
-
Honestly, if this is some sort of marketing strategy for the album release then I will find that - cue the outrage! - quite disingenuous on her part. And if someone wants to disagree that's fine, but at least explain your (not @ you, Shady) opinion without being a dickhead. ETA: for some reason I just got the notification for this quote and thought you just wrote this, mb
-
I mean if you just read the last page or so you'd be forgiven for thinking that because some people have just written likebait replies about policing, micro-managing, and so forth, which have nothing to do with what anyone involved in the original discussion actually said. Whatever
-
Yes. Thank you for summing it up perfectly. Nobody is saying she should put her career ahead of her own wellbeing and wishes, but it's a fact that leaving sm has professional implications. And maybe I worded my initial post poorly but that's all I was trying to say.
-
No I think YOU do. I wrote a post and instead of coming up with any kind of thoughtful response (at least @Sportscruiserbothered to), you just attempted to make it personal. Grow up For someone who is seemingly sooooo concerned about Lana's wellbeing which has taken a hammering due to sm toxicity, it's really interesting that you show up and choose to be downright cunty to strangers on here as a flex Banished #fuckoff
-
I was talking about the implications for the fanbase collectively, not me personally. You know, cos it's a discussion board? Again, I never said I didn't respect it or that it wasn't the right choice, only that I think it could've been handled better. Not even by her necessarily, just someone on her team. Not sure what's not clicking but you seem to have an incessant need to attempt to be edgy and it's lame so stop quoting me
-
Some people on here have a problem with comprehension and tOUcH sOmE gRaSs is their go-to when they have nothing else to contribute because they didn't understand in the first place But you're right, enough of this
-
No I'm not mistaken; I clearly remember it because it was so funny
-
Brave coming from the guy who was pretending to be an insider on the BB thread for attention and clout I actually dgaf that she left in the sense that nothing really changes except for the occasional update which we will not get now; I just think it could've been handled better and I hope she's okay
