Well I think any celebrity who lives in LA must be okay with the attention to an extent. She would certainly get less attention living in, say, Alaska or abroad but she has friends in LA now and I understand the reluctance to leave them. There's no right or wrong way for her to go about it because it's her life but I hope she figues out a way to make it all work for her

I think she wants to interact and stuff, but I also think she's super sensitive and goes to pieces when people criticise her. She was evidently extremely upset by the reaction to QftC and also to that Annie Mac interview. In both follow up videos, she looked like she'd been crying. So I guess she's just trying to find that balance rn. Sometimes I think she'd be better off being like Lorde. Just go off and live her life and then come back when she releases an album. Informative and well-thought out emails from her like the ones Lorde sends would be better than impulsive IG posts and tweets - for her AND us She's on socials all the time but somehow manages to tell us absolutely nothing. I'd rather get an email of actual substance every 3 months or so, personally

I mean, Ben's not gonna be like, "oh yeah she's lazy af and when she told me her next album cover was a selphie I told her it was bollocks and threw my phone in the Thames" Of course he's gonna go along with her. What's the alternative? She is in charge and all decisions are ultimately hers. They can't make her do anything.

If she doesn't want to be famous then she has the money and means to move far away from LA and live a quiet life free of paparazzi and stans. I'm sure fame isn't what she thought it would be, but I don't think it's true that she doesn't want to be famous - or moreover, she obviously still wants to release songs and she knows fame comes with that. If she doesn't want to be famous, why release anything at all? Especially containing provocative lyrics about her hospitalisation and her mother's abuse? I think she wants to have an older, more mature fanbase, though.

What rollout?

She is. Lana is in charge. It's her career and she's the one with the clout and the coins Ben and Ed can do little more than send ha selphies and songs to Interscope when she decides to do something

This will probably be incoherent as fuck but I'm bored in bed after lots of painkillers, so We've had a few weeks to digest these three singles now, and I think the reason why I can't get on board is because they don't bring anything new to the table for the listener. I understand that these are about things she obviously wanted to get off her chest, but if I were a new listener I don't think I'd find them the least bit interesting because sonically they don't go anywhere and the lyrics are only interesting because we are stans and we have some context for what she's singing about. Maybe I'm wrong af but I can't imagine someone who's new to Lana listening to these and being captivated by them. As a stan I can't see that they add anything new or original to her discography iykwim. Idk who the audience is supposed to be and I'm still confused as to what her reason for releasing these was, especially with the lack of promotion. It's like she has all of these wonderful unreleased songs (well, I THINK some of them are wonderful ... maybe one day we'll find out) but she leaves all of those on her laptop and gives us these, which are really glorified diary entries. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything I just don't get it I guess? I can't imagine her ever singing these live because they're so personal and they feel like a once-of thing rather than something she'd revisit. Considering she pretends that Honeymoon doesn't exist I just cannot see her wanting to perform a song about her father's wife abusing her and ending up in the hospital on lithium, but maybe she'll surprise us

My last post sounded pretty harsh. I think Chunk is talented and I completely understand why they'd work together but I feel like they almost stifle each other's creative development. If anything, the very early photos Chunk took of Lana are the best ones so it's like where is the progression Idk

I thought someone else did HM but maybe I hallucinated Also LFL is a cute picture of ha but it's not exactly outstanding photography The thing about Chunk's photography is that anyone with a basic photography skills could take most of the photos she takes of Lana. She seems nice enough and I'm not trying to drag but she doesn't really have a signature style. Like, you can usually look at a pic that Neil, Steven or that Photoshopping woman (Laura? Idk) took and tell that they took it, but with Chunk there's no signature style. Or her style IS that there is no signature style. So imo it's just quite dull because you can tell she's just doing exactly what Lana told her to do (ie: "take a picture of me standing in front of this truck"). I personally think she does herself a disservice working with Lana and should try to branch out more but it's her career so whatever.

Of all four artists, Taylor has the most consistent sound. It makes sense he'd single her out as being above the other artists because he's boring as fuck and recycles all his shit, so they suit each other. The other three definitely experiment much more with their sound and Jack would therefore have no idea what to do with them. I suspect that's why Lana's moved on from him, especially after saying she had to keep pushing him He's boring and samey and that's final ETA: no shade towards Taylor, I like some of her music but I said what I said
