  1. Me when I put on the album and Lana starts singing about how the ocean makes her cry
  2. The San Francisco has LA Who Am I To Love You? vibes for whatever reason, which I love
  3. I would start ascending if she sampled A Star For Nick There's almost no way, but it'd be so cool to hear
  4. It's so interesting that we're either getting an NFR and onwards sample or an AKA and earlier sample...and the fact that both options are plausible based on what we know about the album
  5. I'm looking forward to learning about the mess that is apparently the history behind Candy Necklace then
  6. I fully think the sample is gonna be from a Jack track (personally I love the idea of it being VB), but if it were to turn out to be a solo written AKA track, the drums on Mermaid Motel being sampled would be so cool
  7. This is just a very random thought I had as I've been listening to a lot of Ultraviolence lately, but I feel like Ocean Boulevard is going to be the true reaction album to 2020 and the post NFR world, the same way that Ultraviolence was a reaction album to 2012 in a sense. We got moments on Blue Banisters that hinted at everything that went on in songs like Black Bathing Suit, Arcadia and Beautiful, but this album feels like it's going to be the shift back to the rawness that the reception to Lana after Born To Die created in Ultraviolence just based on what we've heard. I don't think it's going to be like Ultraviolence, sonically, though. If anything, I think it's going to be something completely different to anything Lana's done before. I truly believe she's at her best when she's experimenting and incorporating things into her work that other artists wouldn't think to. I could be completely off the mark here, but it's more so of an observation than anything else. I genuinely cannot contain my excitement for this record
  8. High By The Beach would be a really interesting sample to me just because it's already self-referential with Put Me In A Movie, and is then later interpolated in Swan Song. It also, at least to me, kind of marks the combination and evolution of Lana's earlier works and inspirations with what would become prominent on Lust for Life
  9. The Grants has Tapestry by Carole King vibes to me (the title track of that album). I really see it as being this grand, encapsulating moment of Ocean Boulevard as well as of Lana's career and life as a whole
  10. We haven't gotten one since NFR, so probably not But I'm still thinking about when BoZ said The Grants would've been the perfect song for an album trailer
  11. Submitted my votes Vote Heroin for song of the decade
  12. If it's a Honeymoon song being sampled, the only tracks on that album I would consider to be fan favorites would be Terrance and Salvatore. However, I also wouldn't be surprised if Lana were to have chosen one of the Honeymoon songs she's referenced somewhat recently, like God Knows I Tried or Swan Song (which are in my top 5 on Honeymoon, so if she sampled those, I think I'd die, come back to life, then die again)
  13. Scrobbles are pretty easy to fake/manipulate. Like with Genius uploads, I wouldn't take things like this as legit unless they're scrobbles from someone we can confirm is reliable
  14. If Kintsugi ends up being a track, I vote we move to calling it Cuntsugi once it's released in honor of today
  15. The sites starting to run a bit slower, at least on my end. That's always a sign to me that shit's getting real
  16. So much of this could be figured out and debunked or confirmed if Lana would just release the tracklist
