Lana and Rob seem to have such a good back and forth just based on this interview. I loved reading it

This site's ability to turn every thread into an "old" Lana vs. "new" Lana debate will never fail to amaze me

I've always seen Us Against The World, Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight and Diet Mountain Dew as sister songs

I actually like this version a lot. Something about the calmness of it feels very fitting. It's funny because I was never a big fan of this song, and yet the only versions of it that I really like are the only ones that turned out to be real However I will personally be ignoring the sped of version as to not go into a philosophical rant about social media

I'm just happy this song will finally stop being scrapped from every single album now Good for her

I get how she broke her phone like that because I've done the exact same thing We're in solidarity

The stylistic inspirations are definitely Elizabeth Short, Marilyn Monroe, and Veronica Lake. The curls Lana has after she takes the long, blonde wig off are also reminiscent of Elizabeth Short, but could also have some Rita Hayworth or even Clara Bow inspiration to them for sure. The last look with the Walk of Fame star is purely just Lana to me

I mean what other Rockefeller would it be

It wouldn’t be a Lana release if half of her fans weren’t complaining about not getting what they wanted

I found this video to be so captivating. The incorporation of the behind the scenes footage mixed with the official footage makes it feel like you’re watching the lives of these old Hollywood stars. That part with Lana talking about acting like a robot while dressed as Marilyn was really powerful as well. And of course she looked absolutely stunning. My favorite look has to be the one at the end with her Walk of Fame star. I can’t say this is what I was expecting this video to be, but I’m pleasantly surprised

Half of these lyrics are looking camp right in the eye and if you get it you get it, if you don't you don't

But why on earth would Lana's team go to a Discord server to run a poll on what unreleased songs her fans want released? Regardless of whether it's legit or not, it makes absolutely zero sense to me.

Just now, Surf Noir said:this is all... so weird
it's very weird to think her team would include a laptop demo, let alone noir, because there's objectively better, more accessible laptop demos, like super movie, that they could've included (also noir is super overrated and people only like it so much because it's chaotic and angry lol)
also, if lana were to release a few AKA tracks on a random compilation album rather than just releasing it as a whole album would make me so angry, i would never get over that, not to mention, i don't know if put me in a movie would be the best track to release lol if they're going to release that one and have it be heard by more casual fans/the general public, it should just be released alongside the rest of the album, i guess
i wonder if lana's even aware of this poll
The whole thing to me is weird too. The poll choices are weird, the fact that Lana's team would allegedly do this through Lanacord, the fact that it's a poll at all. Idk. It's just odd to say the least.
I totally agree about the AKA tracks too. If they're gonna be released at all, it might as well just be the full album rather than picking and choosing

Other people have already said it, but Scarface. They were really just stacking random shit together in GarageBand on that song and it's kind of camp Moi Je Joue also has a lot going on at once

My favorites of the night were Anne Hathaway, Anok Yai, Halle Bailey, Dua Lipa, and Billie Eilish I also loved Jenna Ortega's look. The theme was a bit blah, but I was actually pleasantly surprised by this year's Met Gala, it was actually really difficult to pick a top five looks for me

Doja should've been at the 2019 show for sure, I've never seen a look from her in the past year or so that isn't absolutely unique and campy
