    Maria Luiza de Arruda Botelho Pereira de Magalhães, aka Mallu Magalhães, is a 24 years old brazilian singer and songwriter.

    She has 3 albums until now: Mallu Magalhães (2008), Mallu Magalhães (2009) and Pitanga (2010). She also has a side project with her husband, Marcelo Camelo, named "Banda do Mar". She sings in English and Portuguese.

    Ugh it's the middle of the night so I'm just going to lock this thread until I wake up so that way I can supervise it, because apparently I have to watch you guys like puppies who aren't toilet trained yet in case one of you wants to have a little leak.

    The album's not done yet guys, that's why she hasn't announced anything up to now and it's taking so long.

    She is aware of everything going on and her team is working FAST to keep the songs from leaking. 

     

    If someone comes with "why I am going to believe you?", then just move on to the next post 'cause, though I am telling the truth, there is no way I would prove it.

    To believe it or not is an individual option. And I say this because I tried sharing information before and people are like "you're so fake" and stuff, so if that's what you think, move on.

    Oh, and I guess things are slower here on the thread now 'cause everyone who has some information (or even the songs) is trying their best to keep it to themselves since information has a way of spreading very fast and up to now, anything publicly shared could be threatening to Lana's project, which would be the worst thing to happen now. At least, that's my opinion.

    I'm really hoping I won't be misunderstood this time.  :defeated:

    She's probably finishing her album, isn't she? I mean, we probably shouldn't be expecting something for at least one or two months, I guess

    Labels and publishers are different.

    Polydor and Interscope are her labels.

    Sony is her publisher as she is signed to them as a songwriter.

    Whenever she works with someone (such as Emile, Dan Heath, Benny Blanco...) who are signed to other publishers, they also get a share on the song made. Emile and Benny are both under Universal, therefore Universal gets the song's ownership this time around. They publish the song. So they have a say in what goes on.

    but they probably won't let her release YAIL until the album is ready, right?

    Why don't you just listen to Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande then?

    Apart form that, he's definitly not a "nobody", he may just not live in your Katy Perry world of music.

    And on another note, I did not even say I want "a cover with Mark lanegan", but someone with similar vocal qualities.

    everytime that I read someone saying those stuff from alternative singers I get kinda pissed off. I mean, those pop singers (of course, not all pop singers, we have some great like Madonna, Lady gaga, etc...) take off the art from music and transform it in a product. I really don't know how ppl don't see how problematic is that. Art shouldn't be a product, art should be a way to the artist portray his reality or a way to escape reality, and that's not what the mainstream artists do.

    Yeah, but that's before he got elected. He have to commit a crime while he's president. Popular disapproval isn't a reason to justify a impeachment, but the population can make him resign

    Your music knowledge is so limited.  :awkney: He is iconic in american alternative scene. He could bring a lot of attention to Lana from hipster, alt scene. Thats probably the people Lana wants to target since she gave up on any mainstream promotion.

    yeah, thinking that a singer is good bc of the numbers of hits is kinda ??? I mean, Taylor Swift must be a genius bc the girl always sells a lot. I don't get why ppl think just bc an artist sells a lot then it's a good artist. fck no, it just mean that they're more commercial, that's all

    honestly with this many anti trump protests (being some of the most populated and largest in us history) theres no way trump isn't going to get impeached.

    I really dont know why ppl care so much if a woman have hair in her armpits or not. I mean, if you don't like hair in armpits, you just have to shave yours, simple as that

    I mean, Obama was pretty imperialist too... I mean, I know that he was good for the americans, but he wasn't very nice to all the world, you know? Obvioulsy I think that he's way better than Trump, but he's not as nice as he seems to be
