If he is a serial killer
Then what's the worst, that could happen to a girl
    Who's already hurt
    I'm already hurt
If he is as bad as they say
    Then I guess I'm cursed
    Looking into his eyes
    I think he's already hurt
    He's already hurt
    I said, don't be a jerk, don't call me a taxi
Sitting in your sweatshirt, crying in the backseat
    Ooh, oh-oh
I just wanna dance with you
Hollywood and Vine, black rabbit in the alley
I just wanna hold you tight down the avenue
I just wanna dance with you
    I just wanna dance
    With you

  2. Tbh it’s embarrassing that people on the forum actually like HIADT when it’s objectively the worst thing she has ever released. I’m not even trolling like I sometimes am. The song is BAAAAD I listened to it exactly once and knew I never wanted to listen again

    your opinion is embarassing tbh

It's one of her most complex lyrics (I mean, there's some bad parts) and her vocal is amazing. Even the alt-indie media is recognizing this song, and we know how they love to thrash lana

  3. Some thoughts about Norman Fucking Rockwell...

I don't think the era has been messy at all - Lana stated from the first release that the album wouldn't come til 2019. Hope Is A Dangerous Thing... seems to mark the beginning of the campaign with another single coming soon, I imagine.

Mariners Apartment Complex and Venice Bitch will be on the record (the critical acclaim). They reference each other as well as the album title, Venice Bitch was also supposed to be the lead single.

I think that Happiness Is A Butterfly is going to be released as the next single (potentially marketed as the lead single?) and that's why it's been teased the most and was captioned as Norman Fucking Rockwell; almost like an introduction to the campaign - plus she has a music video to release for it. I don't believe it's been retitled or is the title track.

I believe the album will be released March 29th, Lana confirmed it was coming in early 2019 and she liked the tweet that confirmed March 29th.

I really like the cohesion of the record thus far; we'll have 11 songs minimum, however she was still recording in December (as well as scrapping the country songs) so I'm expecting more - meaning there'll likely be more experimentation and varied production. It's wrong to assume the album will all be piano ballads; I predict 3 at most.

I don't think that it every song gonna be a piano ballad tbh, but I do think that we're going to hear the piano on the whole album

  4. I bet she said that just because she was thinking about HIADT. None of the other songs she's teased and released are actually sad, they're pretty much, hopeful, positive and nostalgic in a happy way. And they're not really that introspective either, come on now.

Wow, she literally was thinking just about a particular song at that moment and characterised the sound of the whole album in response. Now I don't take any info seriously, not even from her anymore, 'cause she's a goddamn near sociopath ( I had to lol )

she always do that! It's something that we should learn asap

  5. LB is not psychotherapy session. It seems you have problem with your self-confidence if you cant exist just on your own.

you're really rude, you know that, right?

So, talking about what really matters:

Gays, chill. Lana has been working on more complex lyrics, maybe she'll bring that to the instrumentals too. The songs may surprise us.

the songs out there are not even close to mediocre or bad, they're really great. I trust her, for real

  6. well you're gonna be waiting a long time sweaty

    I'm gonna wait forever

No one wants to wake up to the news I woke up to this morning. No one. I was preparing my coffee, turning on wi-fi and the first thing I read is: “Lana Del Rey is going to release an album with piano ballads and bad vocal mixing”. I blinked my eyes countless times and I went on Facebook just to see more and more posts about it. I couldn’t believe it. My Norman Fucking Rockwell dream was over and there I was at 8AM sitting in my kitchen looking at the screen of my iPhone.

I know this may sound a bit too much but… Yes. Tears started falling from my eyes and they wouldn’t stop. I don’t consider this to be an over dramatic reaction like many of you could easily consider. I look at it as unconditional love, dedication and passion. Something unexplainable, no one can translate love into words or even admiration. Some people get your attention and you don’t know why. And while I am fully aware that Norman Fucking Rockwell is over, it's not just down to Lana, I also am aware that it’s never going to be the same. It doesn’t matter if it is Norman or Sylvia or Jack or Fucking or Rockwell. It doesn’t. I saw this album being born when Lana was just premiering one snippet on instagram. A few months later it turned into a strong and confident collection of snippets which were extremely inspirational. Lana and Jack brought the “introspective sad girl shit” back in the music industry and scored two of the biggest hits of this new decade. I was obsessed and extremely proud of it.

Every Lana fan was aware that Lana was not happy. There’s indifference and I don’t know what to think. Nonetheless, I am no one to judge that. All I want to make clear is: Lana Del Rey is never going to be Lana Del Rey again and that’s why I feel like my dream has been crashed. My Norman Fucking Rockwell dream has ended. It hurts so bad when you’re not prepared…

Yet, I always like to see things from the bright side and I am going to always support Lana Del Rey as a singer and all of her albums as the great projects that they are. They’ve had an amazing and beautiful impact in my life.

girl, calm down. The album isn't out yet

  7. And therefore will flop. These songs are okay but don't have a very well structured melody. In the end they all kind of end up sounding the same.

Well, that's not a problem tbh. I don't understand why people that stan Lana are always waiting for a massive hit that it's going to play on the radio all day. Lana is not that kind of artist, she never was (the only song that played a lot on the radio was SS remix) and it's time to people stop expecting anything like that from her (and I mean, the amount of sells of an artist doesn't say shit about their quality. If the number of sells mens something, the chainsmokers, halsey and any shitty artist like those are the best artists in the world)

About the structure of the melody, the only thing that it's bad it's that they're too simple, she should do something more complex, that's why I do think that she needs to start playing piano or something like that, so she could explore more sounds, more complex ones.

  8. She  did warn us when she said the next album is inspired by the sound of change....a piano ballad.

That is not the problem IMO (remixes, fan edits, mashups can easily fix that), but how some songs totally lack a strong melody. (Sylvia Plath, How to disappear).

    oh, i didn't know that

well, I do think that Sylvia fulfill it's purpose melodically, HTD we have to listen it in full (I mean, we heard the live version, but maybe it have some changes on the album? idk)

  9. Or she can continue making good music and not give two fucks about a “poor” chart performance. The woman has made millions and BTD is still charting. She’s just fine.

    thank you.

Those stans who thinks that a singer should make a hit everytime are stanning the wrong artist lol. I mean, go stan rihanna or something like that
