My friends went to Barcelona this summer, they took photos and made a video. All the people who saw them were like "OMG! You guys had so much fun!" - but it was in fact one of the worst trip they've ever made.

If you'd be so kind to inform which ones are your OW: Original Works, RE: Remix, SA: Soundcloud Available, that'd be cool. As you could prob. guess that apart from Lana, I'm at a total loss to current music scene that my knowledge to it is comparable to Paris Hilton's knowledge of what Walmart is--I'm particularly having difficulties on recognizing which ones are RE and which ones are OW. It's safe to say that I haven't heard most of these tracks, tho.

this is an amazing challenge!
i love perfume and there should definitely be a lana del rey fragrance some day, much more so than many celebrities, because lana has a concept, and both style and substance. how cool would it be if they could get a talented perfumer to create a perfume that could evoke her music and her multifaceted personality through scent? something unconventional that could olfactively convey the spirit of her art. i imagine an alluring, mysterious scent that hints at a dark side, beautiful, glamorous yet slightly unsettling. it could be an oriental floral and perhaps it would feature a smoky accord (alluding to cigarettes and the smoke of the cabarets and nightclubs). on LDR.FM i once said i envisioned there being a lana perfume and a lizzy perfume. lizzy's would have a fun, pop art or retro americana packaging, and the juice itself would be fruity, with coney island caramel undertones, featuring a blue hydrangea note to give it an avant-garde touch. it might be less refined than lana's, playfully rebellious though suggestive of a hidden depth. i would hope both could be made with quality ingredients, not drugstore, aimed at perfume connoisseurs (like me) but accesible to anyone wanting to change their fragrant aura into something complex and dangerously attractive

As far as it all being hiphop: yes, for the most part it is. But I do sing on it as well.

Actually, I really like the turning of string/synth on 1:22--like a deep release of sigh.
 
One thing that I couldn't quite understand is how my ears perceived the vocals and music as rather disconnected. Like it's almost slapped or ducktaped together, without really getting into one, organic unison.
 
Idk, maybe that's a new sonic-experience experiminvented back at the studio, maybe it's a matter of kbps?
 
Or maybe because Lana was just being Lana, which reminds me that one of the first thing I/my ears noticed, which(fairly enough) irked me when I first found her, was how much I want the vocal of Born To Die be uptempo-ed by slightly 1/2 or even 1/4 to match the music's--Born To Die - Woodkid Remix saved the day and grabbed a hold of me.
