It's not really unrealistic that fans would conspire over this though.

I have to say that I kind of preferred this LMBYLAW performance over the JF one. The background singers were a nice addition, but this kind of seemed more genuine and I preferred her look (minus the broken arm lol).

Ok, but it's not "their" culture. I mean, most of these classic songs are covered around all sorts of countries again and again so it's not like knowing them is something Musica-exclusive. I'm from Germany, I dont have an above-average interest for Americana-culture, but I know these songs and their legacy anyway. Not knowing about the book is one thing, but assuming that she'll do Britney Spears and Black Eyed Peas is just ... not it, and it's not connected to any (US-)American-specific knowledge.

It's stunning how some of y'all amost boast with being uneducated culturally because they aRe nOt AmErIcAn. I mean, it's okay to not know things but it's not like Summertime and songs like it haven't been covered a hundred times. This is not some kind of geographically limited knowledge but part of the broad western pop-culture

LMLYLAW is a boring song and her deciding to play it now instead of new material when she refused to give WC and HBTB the spotlight they deserve makes it even more boring. I'd rather have her perform any NFR-track instead of this anticlimatic drag of a track.

There are twice as many guests as last time though. And as much as I want AS&C, I don't see ot coming or at least I doubt she'd promote it.

Thats true but most of the Twitter-stan-community is just about the outrage and indignation and will grasp for every straw that may offer them the possibility to adapt some holier-than-thou-attitude. They are about hostility and not about the actual topics. And that's what I consider faux-woke

If you are just saying stuff to "win a silly argument" then maybe you should check your priorities and think about what you are posting a bit more

It was nice but pretty boring, just like the song. Nothing to make a fuss about - neither considering hype nor criticism. It's fair to say that she had better times as a performer, no need to get hostile about that.

I hope so, but I'm not optimistic about it.
