Go As A Dream & Insomnia are getting to my soul
-
excited for HWY! was planning on not listening to any more singles before the album but now it’s been pushed back i feel like i deserve a listen. welp. only 6 ‘new’ songs for November then ... (trying not to listen to the live versions but wow Mary Magdalene sounds like a gem, there’s a section where she sounds just like Kate Bush, it’s so magical.)
-
Yep. Just checked on the iTunes store and it now says November 8th. I’m so annoyed, i’m dying to hear this album and now it’s been dragged out

Still can’t get over how beautiful FROOT is. There isn’t a single song i dislike on it, and i would be happy to see her perform any song from it (only witnessed 5 of the songs live and they were some of the best performances marina did on the night). Really hope we get something in the same vein for M5 (if it happens). I’m not asking for exactly FROOT 2.0, but bring back some more of the instrumentation like before.

do we think we will get more leaks on marina's birthday? although my desire for TNWWY has died down a bit, I'm still craving it. i'm honestly not that bothered about Worth It though... also does Water Under The Bridge actually exist? i need at least a snippet or sommin otherwise i might just class it as a rumour

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
Ghost Town replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Finishing my first listen to the vinyl. So many little surprises along the way, for a start i have the neon green version but when you hold it to the light there’s almost a marble effect to it i didn’t expect. MAC and VB sound different for the better, it all seems clearer in the vinyl and i don’t know why, just sounds so much full and fresher with those 2 songs in particular... Also forgot it has the more chilled FIILY and the spoken outro for HIADT which are nice touches to make the vinyl more worth it. -
I just hope she really does keep this a surprise release as i think too much was revealed about NFR through Lana’s own snippets on instagram (and of course all the leaks). A secret project is really what is needed. All new songs, ones that haven’t been uploaded in a multitude of snippets across several months.

Final 4 hours until NFR for me now. Currently living off of watching Doin’ Time sped up, makes her movements in the video normal speed + the song becomes more of a bop the faster it goes. Honestly this is one of Lana’s most rewatchable mv’s, i love it. -

Don't want pre-release to be over in a way Even after a stellar album the post-release makes me sad, like the build up is always the best Haven't listened to the LQ or HQ leaks so looking forward to finally hearing songs in their entirety for the first time but i'm keeping expectations fairly low just so i can be more surprised if it lives up to greatness. -
i never saw them even during presale... imagine i bought tickets for my family and not one for me. oh well
-
where were we meant to find the early entry tickets for UK shows? Was it on eventim because i was only looking at see tickets and ticketmaster today and wednesday.

UGH i’m happy for everyone who seems to be living off all these new snippets but for me it’s just not cutting it. Maybe when i hear the songs in full i’ll change opinions, but for now i can actually wait for the release because i don’t find any of the songs that special, just don’t attack me for it. Also i’m fuming because i’m not a fan of the direction Love Song goes in from the last part of the snippet. -

if it weren't for the pre-sale code you get with purchases i wouldn't of bothered getting the vinyl until i could get all 14 songs on it -

Doin’ Time did THAT. so so good -
Received the vinyl today but I haven't opened it because I might send it back. I don't really see the point of vinyls for more electronic music with synths, unless it's something you want to collect, but i normally only buy vinyls that have live instrumentation where there is more of difference from the digital counterparts. Anyway, was there meant to be a different version of Baby for the vinyl or is it the same version ?

So just listened to Fear from start to end and erm.... Firstly I’m surprised people are enjoying Believe In Love so much, apart from the chorus i’m not a huge fan of it, but it’s definitely not the worst song there. I quite like Life Is Strange, maybe i’m just obsessed with strings idk but i enjoy it and don’t get all the slander for it. I feel so bad for You, the change in production was not needed and took away any impact it had and i miss the extra vocals in the chorus. Karma is actually a bop surprisingly. Emotional Machine is one of the better songs on L+F but i lowkey think the 4/4 kick drum in the verses ruins the atmosphere and tension leading to the pre and chorus, still one of the superior songs. Too Afraid is what i needed, I thought it was going to hit a little harder but still I will be listening to it a lot. Now, No More Suckers... WHY ARE PEOPLE HYPING IT SO MUCH? Honestly NMS was my least favourite song on Fear and one of the lowest on L+F as a whole, the instrumentation is to blame but i don’t particularly like the vocals much either. Finally, Soft To Be Strong is a good closer track, I wish it was more acoustic though and atmospheric. Skips: No More Suckers Once In A While: Believe In Love, You, Soft To Be Strong On Repeat: Life Is Strange, Karma, Emotional Machine, Too Afraid
