    This album caught me by surprise. I really didn't know what to expect, but I was afraid the album would be boring and OH MY GOD, it is anything but. NFR is a beautiful album but I still have such a sour taste in my mouth from how the release was handled that it is tainted for me. You would think I would feel the same about COCC but I don't for some reason.

    It's intimate and has such atmosphere. Wistful. Airy. Short and sweet. I can't wait to really get to know these songs. I like the first half of the record better than the second right now.

    Precisely. Life is also too short to be controlled by the opinions of others, especially over something like MUSIC. Just enjoy it. :diva:

    Here's some advice for everyone: stop caring. Seriously. Why do you feel like you have to justify loving Lana to fake people who refuse to see nuance? I love Lana unapologetically and I don't give 2 fucks if some woke idiots have a problem with it. It's nice on this side.

    This thread is kinda blowing my mind. I hate her for not giving us official lyrics! "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" -- but this thread proves we're all misunderstanding her lol

    It's sad that so many of you all would rather she shut up and regurgitate acceptable statements because god forbid she may say something ~controversial~ (real) and your friends will be mad at you for supporting her :facepalm: I'm actually here for anything different she has to say, but I suspect it's just going to be her complaining about not being universally acclaimed right away, which is much less interesting. She's super successful and finally got her acclaim with the last album so what is she so mad about? That was my main complaint with the "question for the culture" shit--bringing up ancient issues, for what??? Things have changed.

    How dare Lana have a different take that isn't the Regurgitated Approved Opinion™ everyone expects! I don't need my favorite artist to agree with me 100%, thank God. I'm happy to hear her say that she's not going away.
