    I mean I like the title's refrences to both royalty and family, given that TFJ's core themes are exactly about her analyzing fame and how she feels due to her dad and stuff. But my main point in saying that it's flimsy is that you have to do a bit of digging to realize that is the title's tie to the record and it's not that different from L+F. I've seen enough album reactions to notice that most people have no idea what it is called that and don't pick up on the central themes of the album (most think some of the tracks are about romance). 

     

    I totally get some of the criticims of L+F, but I try to push back on the idea that it was a complete flip in Marina's career. L+F as a title and era-concept had as much thought as TFJ and others, so I don't agree with conceptions that it was just randomly put together with a bunch of filler tracks when the album creation was the same as her other works. It's fine to say you don't like the central idea of separating the tracks how she did, but that's just not how most people frame their opinions and that's what I was trying to point to. Hope I am making some sense :)

    Reading tweets in response to those from her...I see why she won't look at her replies lmao. I get what you're saying, @ChaoticLipster, but I do think the context of being a big celebrity changes things. I think Marina has done enough therapy and self-help stuff to know that blocking out people in real life is not healthy, but I think she's just talking about social media and the bigger effect that has.

     

    Anyways, perched for Flowers and the rest of the album. I'm manifesting a mid-summer release :legend:

    CMBYN might already be out there; it's really good. He pulled a Lana and shared too much of it before it came out, but other than that I'm glad his best song is finally coming out

    I mean, she said she wanted to release Man's World back at Coachella, and originally mentioned that her small tour\coachella was actually premiering new music (I think it was plural "Songs") but I can't remember if she actually teased a full record? She said next project, female producers and all but... I wonder if she just wanted to do some singles instead of putting a full album out.

     

    Her rollouts are always out of this world so I'm not totally shocked, but the long gap does feel strange, especially since it looked like things were gearing up at high speed. The postcards, the merch, everything was trying to create momentum and then... nothing. We'll see I guess.

    She said in an interview a few months ago that the album was written but not completely produced yet (it might be by now, though). Tbh I feel like she's mentioned quite a bit about how the process of making this album is going, so I'm not sure why people expected it to already be out lol

    I've always thought that too (not sure if she said it herself or what) but also it's not in any of the demos, right? Either way, glad she changed it because I would like the song less :hooker:

     

    Anyways, Television Heaven is top 5 unreleased, and it the superior sister track to Video Games.

    The shower is fine, but outside in the rain? :wtf: It's neither mysterious nor sexy. Anyway, the fact that a dumb line like that even requires this level of thought is why I hate it
