    uh yeah i think we're the minority in this thread lol i like the final much better. i've seen people say the final doesnt fit the album version...like the demo would fit the album better tho? i have to laugh

     

    It's sad how Lana stopped acknowledging Marina's existence after she released her generic album & flopped.

     

    After the success of the original & beautiful NFR, I doubt Lana would even like to associate with her anymore now.

    both lana & marina have been rly busy. marinas been on tour & working on projectS and lanas on an album campaign..it would be shady if lana gave a shoutout to someone (who's not marina) around the time l+f came out, and marina (to any1 but lana) around the time nfr came out. but neither of them have done that.. so i think its safe to say theyre not ignoring each other.. theyre just probably busy.

     

    plus both of them are pretty private people, remember when marina didnt have thank you's on froot? its cuz she said she already thanked all the people she needed to in person. yall are reading into this too much i think. it's almost like u guys want them to fight  :flop:

    Her smirk on her Instagram story makes me think she's dropping INHA tomorrow or soon as promo for the tour. That or she has something up her sleeve that she's excited for.

     

    yeah maybe im being too optimistic, but my initial thought was "is she dropping something tomorrow? or announcing that shes dropping smth tomorrow?" i dont rly expect too much from marina tho..we're already getting the acoustic ep, so i dont wanna get my hopes up (at least rn, she did imply she has more stuff to release b4 the end of the yr)

    2. bartender is such an interesting and gorgeous song omg. HOWEVER...the bar-t-t-t-ender part is nails-on-a-chalkboard painful .

     

    yeah....the song would be perfect if it didnt have that  :smh:  it's my least favorite on the album so far..

     

    in the future, im gonna stop listening to album snippets, cuz out of the whole album, only 3 were actually new to me and so the release was kind of underwhelming  :toofloppy:

    i didn't say she's a bad songwriter and ofc she has songs that are very well written with lyrics that could cut glass but it's just that i think there are some better songwriters than her, i still love her tho but they didn't seem to get that and honestly i don't it is that deep, like, it's my opinion why did they feel the need to literally ATTACK me?

    i got into a twitter fight because i quoted a tweet that labeled marina as "one of the best songwriters from our generation" with a screenshot of L+F lyrics and I stated that L+F is bland etc etc

     

    i mean l+f's lyrics are definitely more simple than past eras, and they lack a lot imo, but i dont think that negates the existence of marina's (introspective) lyrics off of past albums. so im gonna have to disagree w u on that one..

    ive been re-obsessed with gemini feed these days..phew that song aged like fine wine. everything from the production, to the vocals, to the lyrics, and the music video--its truly one of my favorite songs of all time. and the alter remains one of my fave albums.  :legend:

    Anyway, all I care about is that we get it at one point. I do hope the album of unreleased songs she spoke about at one point comes to fruition; Please Don't Call Me, I'm Not Hungry Anymore, Electra Heart, Miss Y, Jealousy etc. all deserve an official release and some time in the spotlight! I'd even include EVOL and Just Desserts TBH.

     

    she can keep PDCM unless shes gonna add more lyrics tho..

    I have a feeling she won't do much / any more promo, like maybe one tweet and ig post and then radio silence. This is the woman who copy-pasted ariana's tweet hours after miley and ariana to promo a song with three of the biggest singers rn lmao, she may not be crying and having breakdowns but she's probably pissed

     

    can u blame her...this has happened several times. the first time would be annoying but the second time and every one after would be upsetting + disappointing. imagine setting a release date knowing it probably wont make it unleaked until then--thats prob what goes thru her mind with each album @ this point /:

    It's such a sad fact that Better Than That is one of her most disliked songs. :(

     

    It's such a bop, and the bridge oh my god :oprah: it truly has one of her best bridges. That snap :trisha:

     

    its my least favorite off froot simply for the reason that i feel it doesnt really add anything to the album. it's not a bad song by any means, the instrumentation is actually one of the faves of the album. i just feel it was unnecessary lol.  if marina was so married to doing just 12 songs, INHA should have replaced it imo

    banks forgive me of my sins...i didn't like gimme at first listen but it's grown on me and it's probably one of my favorite songs thus far in the year. i listened to half the album but wasn't that impressed....so maybe i need to give it another shot now that i've also come around to stroke !

    EH is Marina's best album, how anyone could say otherwise is beyond me

     

    i mean thats...an opinion. so, i respect urs but honestly i feel like all the albums have different strengths

     

    • TFJ: lyrics
    • EH: story-telling, concept, aesthetics
    • FROOT: lyrics, production
    • L+F: vocals

    i'd say froot is her best/strongest, but when it comes to personal favorite, just due to themes, TFJ is mine
