  1. Everywhere you look there's both good signs and bad signs. I hate this
  2. NBC exit polls say Trump won independents in Georgia by 11 points, 54-43.https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-elections/georgia-president-results I can't see Harris winning GA with numbers like that
  3. I don't know how anyone can even work tomorrow. People talk about how election day should be a holiday but I'm like, I need the day after election day to be a holiday
  4. They're just doing it to discourage people from voting. Like someone goes to vote, thinks its too much of an inconvenience to wait for it to be declared safe, and just doesn't vote and goes home instead. It's not a coincidence this is happening in Georgia's most densely populated and heavily Democratic areas. Truly pathetic. Here's your election interference, Trump supporters
  5. Kamala is killing it so far in Hamilton County, Indiana, which is one of the most educated counties in the country. 65% vote counted and she is leading. Trump won the county in 2020. This bodes pretty well for other similar areas in the country
  6. Voting has been suspended at five more polling places in DeKalb County, Georgia (voted 83% Biden, major county in Atlanta metro), due to more bomb threats
  7. I'm surprised they haven't called Indiana and Kentucky yet, but then I remembered they're both split across time zones so they won't do it for another half an hour when they states polls are completely closed
  8. For some reason when you use Google translate, it changes the numbers from what it says in Greek. I don't know why. In Greek it says: But Google Translate translates it as According to an exit poll by CBS, 48 percent say they have a positive opinion about Kamala Harris, versus 44 percent who have a positive opinion of Trump. In the 2020 election, Biden had 52 percent (in the corresponding exit poll), while Trump was 46%. In North Carolina, Trump leads Harris 49% versus 48%. Trump also leads in Pennsylvania, 49% against 46 percent of Harris. In Arizona, Trump is over over Harry, 50% to 48 percent. In Georgia, Trump leads by about 50 percent versus Harry's 49 percent. In Michigan, Harris is ahead of Trump's 50% versus 48 percent. The two tie in Neada with 48 percent and in Wisconsin with 49 percent. I have no idea why they would have CBS's exit polls already Edit: They've updated the article and now it says those state polls are "according to Hill" (I assume thehill)
  9. According to Greek media, the CBS exit polls (that we aren't supposed to get until 8pm I think) the swing state exit polls are: NC Trump 49 Harris 48 PA Trump 49 Harris 48 AZ Trump 50 Harris 48 GA Trump 50 Harris 48 MI Harris 50 Trump 48 NV Trump 48 Harris 48 WI Trump 48 Harris 48 https://www.in.gr/2024/11/06/world/ekloges-ipa-to-proto-exit-poll-deixnei-nikitria-ti-xaris-paramenei-thriler/ I don't like this
  10. We thank you for your service. People really need to think of voting as a collective action, and you did your part
  11. Apparently they need to recount 30,000 absentee ballots that had already been counted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin due to an issue with the tabulator For reference, Milwaukee voted 79% for Biden in 2020 and cast about 12% of the total Biden vote for the entire state This will be a long night (full of conspiracies)
  12. Just cast my vote for Kamala in PA! i did it for you! You did it for me. We did it for all the right reasons (this election has me so anxiety ridden ugh)
  13. You're right, I need sleep. Especially since I definitely will be up late tomorrow
  14. Looking into this more, in 2020 there were 4 independents and 1 Republican. Now it's 4 Republicans and 2 independents. So one could presume the 3 Harris voters also voted for Biden, there are no Biden-Trump voters bc the Trump voters weren't there in 2020, and Harris won 100% of the independent vote and 25% of Republican vote. the amount of time I'm spending worrying about this one tiny 6 person town
  15. I just read only 3 of the people who voted lived there in 2020, and the other 3 are new. So it's possible the 3 Harris votes were previous Biden voters, and all three of the new people were the Trump voters. I still don't like it.
  16. The first votes are in from New Hampshire 3 votes for Trump, 3 votes for Harris (this one town voted 100% for Biden and 100% for Haley )
  17. I wonder about the polls, and I haven't really seen this discussed anywhere, because they've been doing them differently this time. In the past, the vast majority of text message polls were like "reply 1 for trump, 2 for biden, 3 for... etc" and were entirely text message based, but this cycle, 90% of the polls I've gotten have been a link you need to click on. It was never like this in 2018, 2020, or 2022. I've been ignoring all poll requests this entire time because there was just no way I'm gonna open some mysterious link from an unknown number. Almost everyone I've talked about this in person has said the same thing

    Taylor Swift

It's her last US show! Wow I can't believe we've arrived at this point
  19. It's so crazy to think that as someone who lives in a crucial swing state (PA), my vote has so much more power than someone who lives in California or Tennessee or Maryland or Idaho. It's like I'm not just casting my own vote, I'm voting for the people in all these other states who are counting on me and people like me. Like even if I didn't want to vote, I still need to do it for all the other people out there who are depending on me because of the idiotic electoral college.
  20. Now is not the time to be casting a vote that in any way helps Trump. If this were the era of 2012 Republicans, sure, fine, go ahead. But not now. This election is not the time to try and send a message to the Democratic Party that you're not happy with them by voting third party. There is WAY too much at risk. Biden and the Democrats' handling of the Israel-Palestine conflict truly repulses me. But Trump becoming President is not only what Netanyahu wants, it's what Israel wants. Why would anyone want to help Netanyahu get what he wants? A vote for a third party is an indirect vote for Trump, period. Not voting is a vote for Trump, period. And a vote for Trump is a vote for even more theft of Palestinian land. Every time I've become so defeated at the state of the world to the point I've felt like giving up and not voting at all, I remember that not voting for Harris would mean Israel gets a little closer to what they want, and that's certainly not what I want. The Democrats are wrong on Palestine, but indirectly helping Trump win means abandoning and causing harm to way too many people. You'd be abandoning our European allies, the Ukrainian people, LGBT people all over the country, women all over the country. You'd be abandoning rights you don't even know you've lost yet because we haven't even see how far the Supreme Court will go in the future with even more Trump appointees. And if you live in a safe state, I don't care. We need that total popular vote, even though it doesn't matter electorally, to be the loudest rejection of Trump imaginable.
  21. I've sold a ton of my vinyl and I buy the record mailer boxes for them on Amazon (or save boxes from when I get new records in the mail). Yes it sucks to have to buy shipping material but that's just a cost you build into the price you're selling the records for. I personally wouldn't ship them in a regular box. If the vinyl is moving around a box during shipping, you're risking the vinyl or sleeve becoming damaged and then you might end up with an unhappy buyer who might demand a refund. I once had someone ship a 7" picture disc to me in a giant empty box, with absolutely no stuffing inside of any kind, and that record went flying around every direction to the point it completely cut through all four sides of the PVC sleeve during shipping, and arrived warped. One the the most expensive records I ever bought (I'm talking hundreds of dollars here, it was a Taylor Swift RSD release) was shipped literally between two pieces of cardboard cut from a box, and then taped together around it. To be fair, the record arrived fine, but I still can't believe that person shipped it like that. I always mention in my listings that I ship in a record mailer just to give buyers peace of mind before they buy. I actually get paranoid buying secondhand sometimes because you have no idea how the person will ship it. I'd say probably about 85% of the time I buy records secondhand, they use the record mailers, either new ones or reused ones. If you don't want to commit to buying boxes, maybe you could ask any friends who buy records to save their boxes for you? I guess it depends how many you're planning to sell.
  22. The vinyl for this is on sale at Urban Outfitters for $25 instead of $35 right now I just added it to my order (for Halsey's new album) so I would get free shipping
