I would like to thank those who maturely supported my complaint whether they agreed with it or not. As for the vile princesses who frequently attempt to bully people on this forum (I've seen it a lot) under the guise of "being dirext" (aka being a c*nt) karma doesn't pay in money. I'm bored of you now.

lol the guy just wants to tell his experience, tell people to complain if they feel it was unfair, he's not trying to start another French Revolution. It's a good reminder to search for as much info as you can before purchasing a ticket or heading to the venue. I always triple check everything in case I get misinformed. I try to be a well-informed consumer in general, but I still get ripped off once in a while. Venues are only interested to get your $, they don't care about their clients specific preferences (front row) or the emotional aspect. If they don't have much competition, they will keep being indifferent to clients satisfaction. C'est la vie.

I traveled from Stockholm, Sweden to see her and since I've never been to Brixton or this venue before, I checked their FAQs on their webpage. There it said that people with O2 network would be let in earlier and could bring in 3 friends. So my friend and I bought their cheapest SIM card on Monday morning. It was worth it to be honest, only £10 and their app is for free, and you get in earlier.

I understand that you're upset, I would be too if I had waited 12+ hours, but it's like people have already said: their venue, their rules. Sure, they could've been more clear that their customers would be let in earlier but what's the point of having these perks if everyone knew about them?

A super friendly girl I met in the queue tried to invite people over from the ordinary queue but they just didn't want to. It was their loss I suppose.

Yes, it's stupid of them to say that everyone would be let in at the same time... If they had at least let people from the ordinary queue in when half of the priority line had entered, it would be a different thing. But that's not what happened and it sucks. "Their venue, their rules".

I'm not surprised that Lana's team didn't care because they probably just look for free venues to book. Maybe they had to reschedule everything because the album got postponed or just booked last minute - and most concerts happen in the summer (and will make most venues booked with shows) so maybe they just went with what they got?

I was also at the front of the other line it was such a mess the security didn't even know what to say to me when I asked why they were able to enter before us, also some people didnt even have priority tickets they just lined up in the priority line

Does that make:

• 'No Blacks' venues ok? Their venue, their rules.
• Or 'no gays' b&b's ok? Their venue, their rules.
• Or 'no women allowed' ok? Their venue, their rules.
• Or 'female circumcision' ok? Their religion, their rules.
• Or 'no rights for gays' Their country, their rules.

 

Those examples are more serious of course, but just cos something is the way it is, doesn't make it right.  Things can be changed.  And if not, you can at the very least express your opinion without being vilified.

I'm 46 - I've been going to concerts since I was 16 years old.  I have NEVER experienced this before.  If you think that's acceptable, then that's your opinion.  If you think having your having a certain network provider should be placed over someone who has made effort then look to yourself.  I was on my own and i did not know anything about o2 people being allowed in first over people who had queued for hours.  Because you got in early, you are alright.  I'm alright Jack! F*ck the rest of you.  There are people on here who said that even though they are with o2 they thought it was unfair.

And no need to be so damn rude. Imagine I said something like "shes fucking naming unreleased, singing them and talking about calling fans im gonna cry" - and I responded with "GET A GRIP, GET A LIFE AND GET OVER IT."  

THIS IS A DISGRACE

 

Many people queued for hours to get the best view; I personally queued for nearly 8 before the doors opened. Many queued for much longer and some overnight. We all do what we can and put in the effort to get to the front. UNFORTUNATELY o2 priority customers were let in before anyone else, no matter what time they arrived!!!! So if you rocked up at 18.45, you got in before people who had been there all day.

 

I have been complaining about this to all sorts of people for days and when I spoke to the (very arrogant) manager 'Nigel' of Brixton Academy, he said as o2 pay masses of £'s in sponsorship, they can have whatever priorities they like and it was tough luck. (Lana's tour management people who sign the contracts in the UK told me they didn't care!)

 

Now if you had o2 and got in, then you are lucky; this complaint is not in any way about you or Lana of course but about the CORPORATE BULLSHIT that is changing the face of concert going. Knowing Lana the way we do, there is no way she would be happy about her fans being treated like this. The fans can no longer get to the front (or as close as possible) simply by putting in the effort. Fans are now discriminated against depending on what mobile company they are with and as o2 own lots of venues, this affects lots of concerts and lots of people! Nigel said he let 30 people in as they had been there overnight. At least that's something, but there were hundreds more who made a lot of effort too. I accept priority allows people a special o2 presale sometimes and also a 'VIP' bar but this is unacceptable.

 

It turns out that the o2 tweeted everyone would go in at the same time. (Proof on my tweet)

 

I am asking for people to please support my tweet by sharing / responding to it - I am not the only person on this forum pissed off about it.

 

This is about what is right, not about whether you are happy you got in early. Sometimes you have to take a stand even if it gets you know
