I hope it comes soon a late 2021/early 2022 would be great honestly Didn't noticed it before lol guess I'll just stop believing any random comment about material being scrapped
-
Was it scrapped? Ugh I don't even know what to believe anymore
-
If I Fall stereo thanks for sharing! I still had the Naked LQ lol
-
True 320 kbps! And thanks for sharing

An upscale indicates that a song was encoded to show a higher quality register when the file itself is lower quality. For example, if I have a 128 kbps song and I use a converter to FLAC, I can say "hey, here you have a FLAC file!" but then I check the spectrum of its quality (through a tool titled Spek) and it shows it's not real lossless. Here you have an example (using a different song, it's a screenshot of the Spek tool but I wrote the approximate values of the qualities according to where do the colors top): A lossless looks like this: And the Conductor file in the folder shows like this: Thus, it must be around 128 kbps, but it was encoded to be FLAC/ALAC and it shows an apparent higher quality of 786 kbps, but it does not have that quality. Sorry for the long reply, I just thought it would be easier to understand it using screenshots

I don't care what anyone says, critics can fuck off, I LOVE this album I swear it took me by surprise I love it so much, Fallen Fruit is giving Bury the Hatchett's The Cranberries and The Man with the Axe is giving early Sia and I'm living for it Hold No Grudge and Mood Ring are incredible, top tier in the album for me. I even enjoy the title track now I would only add a little more production to Stoned, Helen of Troy (I needed that to build up and explode in an amazing outro), Dominoes and Big Star, removed the outro from Secrets and there you have, AOTY. It's making it onto my top 10 albums of the year anyways
-
Swap The Man with the Axe with Dominoes
-
And all the material she said she did during the Melodrama sessions too
-
Conductor is an upscale but the other two are certainly higher quality than the ones I had! Thanks for sharing

Of course! Here is the post where I put it. It only lacks the additions I did for the second half of the chorus in V2, so you're not missing a lot! Thanks hun! Thank you! I did one long ago, but it doesn't have additions like in Patient. In it, I filtered out her vocals and edited it so I could layer it as a "background vocal", and that's why it sounds much more complete now. But with Band Aid, I didn't add anything extra, just made a little extended edit so it wasn't as short as the original leak. Here, in case you want to check it out!: https://dbree.org/v/612114

Finished the second version! https://dbree.org/v/961203 I decided not to add anything to the instrumental, it sounds perfect that way. I just enhanced the chorus a little bit and added the instrumental outro of the original. Enjoy!

But are they? I thought they were exclusive to the *download card* from the physical edition

I just finished the album, and I gotta say I enjoyed it more than I was expecting! I won't put all my notes here, just my personal rating for each song, my faves and the ones I didn't vibe much lol. Overall - 8/10. The Path - 9 Solar Power - 7 California - 8 Stoned at the Nail Salon - 8 Fallen Fruit - 10 Secrets from a Girl (Who's Seen It All) - 6 The Man with the Axe - 10 Dominoes - 6 Big Star - 9 Leader of a New Regime - 7 Mood Ring - 10 Oceanic Feeling - 7 Helen of Troy - 8 Hold No Grudge - 10 Favourites: Hold No Grudge, Fallen Fruit, Mood Ring, The Man with the Axe Least favourites: Secrets from a Girl (Who's Seen It All), Dominoes, Oceanic Feeling It's okay if people don't like it - but it's in no way a bad record. Whoever wants a more electropop, radio friendly, intense sounding material from Lorde, can revisit her previous catalog

Blue Banisters - Pre-Pre-Release Thread
Glitter Boy replied to Elle's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
I'm pretty sure she will! She particularly serves vocally in Wildflower Wildfire and Blue Banisters, and the harmonies in Text Book are beautiful too, so I think she will go awffff in Arcadia and the rest of the album too -
Don't know if this has been asked before, but do we know the songwriters for Helen of Troy and Hold No Grudge?
-
Watch it becoming a power ballad to balance the second half of the album
-
Daisy and Cry are def my favourites off the mixtape, they're incredible! But yeah, I don't really vibe to most of the record (though I don't hate it). Toxic, Deal with It and I think Little Boy were the other ones I liked. Also, I wished they kept Tantrum in the track listing.
-
Just like him talking randomly a couple words after the chorus in Not All Who Wander Are Lost I wonder why would he think it would be a good idea to put his vocals in these songs... like, great you are producing them, but, dude, your watermark?
-
Thank you so much! I may finish an updated version later today, with an improved chorus I'll post it as soon as I have it exported

It leaked? OMG less than a day here for it to be released I can't wait is it good? I mean, the new tracks
-
I'LL BE YOUR PATIENT, BABY DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH ME I NEED A FACELIFT MAYBE YOU COULD PUT YOUR PILLS IN ME Damn why is it so short I wish the chorus was twice longer with new lyrics in the second half or something, at least that would help edits not to feel too repetitive. And that production is incredible
