    Let’s get back into some actual fun unpopular opinions

     

    I like how Lana releases a bunch of promo singles and then disappears on us, i feel like it’s easier to get into the mindset of where she’s headed

     

    (this is a half true opinion I wish we heard from her more often tbh, you get what I’m trying to do)

    I think I’m gonna sit on this album for a minute and let it soak in cause after that first listen… I’m lowkey disappointed, my expectations were toooooo high it seems or maybe this album just isn’t for me

    Okay GOLDWING I love the midsong transition to the second half

    Oxytocin is something I wanna party to in a club with strobe lights

    Everybody Dies is lovely, I love the background beat, it’s like a 80’s StrangerThings vibe and I’m here for it

    I also love Happily Ever After, I’m so into these midsong transitions - it reminds me of Lana when she said she wanted to play with song structures and changing things up from the normal way (but also that brutal stereo screech at the end is not fun)

    I can appreciate Not My Responsibility I don’t know if it was about the background music but there was still something a bit off? Idk but I do like that she said what she said cause I think there’s a lot of conversation around her body and I like that she took this way to talk about it 

     

    I already love My Future, Therefore I am and Your Power

    and I actually kinda liked NDA and LostCause, I appreciate them but don’t go out of my way to listen to them

     

    I’m into this album, I know a lot of people had doubt and everything but I really like this. I do think she’s more of an album artist, it all works together but still varies it up enough that I’m not bored of it.

    i had faith this album would pull through

    I really liked the promo singles but some of these songs would’ve been better choices

    even tho she has said she just chooses her faves to be singles

    I just got conflicting feelings of her releasing unreleased stuff that we’ve heard before, I feel like in the past for me it’s usually a hit or miss. Like I love Architecture but I don’t vibe that much with the Best American Record. I too quickly get attached to the demo and then feel weird about the new version

    Does anyone else feel that way?

     

    like I’m excited for Thunder but if it’s changed a lot I wonder what it could be like

    Lana keeps being in my dreams lately, idk why but she’s haunting me

     

    Last night I had a dream I was staying with my family at this hotel that was steampunk styled like BioShockInfinite. And we were out by the beach area waiting by a water fountain for a table at the restaurant. Lana was sitting at the restaurant with her entire family and I was like “oh damn we better leave them alone until they finish their meal” and my ex-best friend who was there for whatever reason was like “I’ll introduce you to her” and I was like “no don’t” so then she went and interrupted their lunch and Lana got so offended that she got up and made everyone leave. And I was just watching it and cringing

    it was awful

     

    Then she called me fat and smacked a donut out of my hand /s

    Me cackling at how starved we all were

    i’m glad to have proper proof that the album is called BlueBanisters so people don’t have to be so confused

    The cover is beautifullll kinda reminds me of that old photo of her sitting in front of the Christmas tree by Chuck

     

    also that snippet, gee whiz, I am NOT READY

    i’m so excited to her the track titles and I’m hyped to see what happens

    Remember when Lana added “Change” to LustForLife last minute:brows: July 4th 2022 is still happening guys

     

    no but if she is adding a new song that might mean it’s inspired by super recent events so maybe we’ll be getting a “Lullaby”-esque titled song about becoming an Auntie oooh

    which would be super sweet but also melancholic in her usual self reflecting ways (omg lol or maybe she was in the delivery room and will be doing some empathic screaming to talk about the physical and emotional pain)

     

    Idk i hope we get more insights into her mind

    I guess Lana’s albums have always been personal, the way she expresses that varies from album to album, but if the three promo? singles show anything it’s that this will be more poetic, raw, stripped back direction so I can see her going deep into these really personal ideas

     

    Tbh our girl is probably going through a weird time, so many conflicting experiences happening together, it can be weird being a creative and being excited for a project but also never knowing when to stop
