I’m kinda glad the idea of this really grew off of me as I saw everyone and their brother go country. She’s never been one to chase trends so why now (even if this isn’t chasing trends and it’s been in progress for a while, it will still be painted as her following trends regardless) is this a safe space to say I hope the quavo songs get the chop too

I can definitely see her pivoting a little since country has went SO mainstream at the moment she’s never been a trend chaser and is definitely hyper aware of her standing with the critics, so I can totally see her getting cold feet with this now just to not be compared to Beyoncé, etc.

Also I love hearing her perspective in settings like this, like hearing her talk about why she doesn’t want to do a stadium tour and stuff. She really is such a unique artist in today’s landscape
