This is such a beautiful metaphor. for the first few listens I though that by “when’s it going to be my turn?” she means “when will I finally be loved” but now I’m thinking that it’s a rhetorical question of desperation about her mortality and the inevitability of being forgotten and she’s trying to fight off these thoughts with “don’t forget me” . Like an internal battle

While the song has a lot of similarities to the songs you mentioned, I feel that the production, the build-up, the “don’t forget me” refrain and the overall mood make this stand out more. It translates an emotion through the lyrics and the delivery that the other songs do not.

My points exactly. she obviously re-recorded the song, she obviously sang it in one take in the studio and she obv sounds fantastic, so why not just sing it live and leave little rawness to it. It just looked bizarre to be listening to such a polished vocal performance from someone performing “live”. Other artists also pre-record but they at least sang it live at the time of recording. I just don’t get it. It makes such a performance completely pointless. I could just play the song on itunes and there will be no difference (minus a couple changes here and there). And it’s not like we got some exciting visuals to go with the lipsync. It was all pretty underwhelming.

I don’t think Interlude - The trio is the same as the outro on the video. I went to wikipedia to check the writers on each song and for the interlude it says that it’s Ennio Morricone, so it could be film score instrumental

Well if she puts the vinyl for pre-sale like Taylor did with Evermore I think people would buy them and she could easily hit Chemtrails physical sales. Most people buy online now anyway and people who ordered from her website didn’t mind waiting weeks for the records to be shipped. I don’t think the vinyls are that big of an issue. I’m more worried about artwork design etc Because even if she decides to use the selfie as cover, they still need to redesign that, add back cover, booklet, etc etc and if she changed name/possibly concept, they have very little time to do that.

Many people don’t trust this date because vinyls take long to press but when Taylor released evermore, it was only digital (maybe cd dunno). The vinyl however is yet to come (I believe in May). So I don’t think this will be much of a problem

What if this album has collabs with other female artists (some from qftc and others like gaga and taylor) as a cumulative fuck you to the media? Managers said that she has something special in mind so just a regular album is not probably what they meant.
