I think I liked it as a single because it's so mellow and uncontroversial - it was nice to see her release something that wasn't polarizing in the slightest in the midst of the chaos of the COCK promo cycle. Definitely not her most EXCITING single though 

    i think it’s a really beautiful and simple love song that gets way too much hate imo. it’s not her best by any means. however, i do think its one of those songs that you kinda have to listen to at the right time to appreciate it. i absolutely adore the bridge and think the vocal production on the whole song is just gorgeous. the lyrics may be simple, but i think that’s the beauty of it.

    white dress, cotcc, TJF, dark but just a game, dance till we die, and yosemite are all such highlights to me and im kinda glad this album is so underrated bc i can gatekeep my fav songs from it. it’s def not even in my top 4 ldr albums but in my opinion the woman has never released a bad or even mediocre one. this album makes me appreciate the simple things in life and in some ways feels like the lana del rey thesis wrapped up in a bow: no matter what, she’ll always be strange and wild, and i relate to that on so many levels.

    Re-listened to this record in full recently and I have to say (contrary to LB’s belief), it sounds just as good as it did in 2019. One of her best for sure. I have so many positive and formative personal memories that happened to coincide with the release of the singles and then the entire album, so for that reason, NFR! will probably always be in my top favourite Lana albums. It’s funny how we attach parts of ourselves to the music, which totally affects our listening. 

    nfr will always be my personal favorite i think. i just have so many memories connected to it that its impossible for me to love another album as much as i love it.

    i meant would anyone be surprised about NEW work 💀i agree it would be far more surprising if she announced something like aka or the unreleased album
