  1. all gay people can use the f slur and so can trans people it’s not that serious also isn’t this the blue banisters pre release thread
  2. true but it also kinda functions as a mental movie soundtrack (at least that what it is for me) and that’s about a standard film length so it doesn’t bother me that it’s super long ? UPDATE: play fine china - la who am i to love you - arcadia. it’s a spiritual experience.
  3. i am actually tempted to add some violet interludes into this… but i actually just changed that track run to Chemtrails - Afraid - IDWG - Breaking Up Slowly - Thunder - Fine China - Arcadia to better reflect how the turn of events in how their fights led to him leaving her and her leaving back to LA. I think LA Who Am I to Love You would go really great between Fine China and Arcadia though ?
  4. i’m actually rearranging the back half of the track list right now cause i want the story to be more cohesive, but i will update y’all tomorrow on this ?
  5. well the main gist behind it is that the narrator (lana) goes back to their hometown looking for her father, but instead finds someone she used to know. an old flame, who reminds her of him in some ways (not all of them positive). she is sort of trying to escape LA by doing this, and not just the place, but the people and the environment. she knows that this guy has some issues, but since she last saw him, he seems to have found peace and some sort of faith in god. she decides to leave LA for good with him, but it turns out his faith isn’t in a god but in his vices such as alcohol, etc. (also, afraid is in the wrong place. it should go after breaking up slowly.) but anyway, after the events of fine china which i won’t detail here, she finds a newfound love for the people who actually do care about her, as well as LA which she realizes is her true home. by the end, she realizes that even if she didn’t have control in every aspect of her life, she is able to control the energies that she chooses to surround herself, namely through her music. sorry if that’s super long and a stupid idea btw i just wanted a bit of fun haha.
  6. i attempted to rearrange the tracklists of chemtrails and the songs we have from blue banisters in order to make a more cohesive story and sound. i spent hours on it and i will definitely change it once the album is officially released. currently it’s: blue banisters text book tulsa jesus freak dark but just a game not all who wander are lost wildflower wildfire let me love you like a woman wild at heart yosemite chemtrails over the country club thunder afraid (if it had a rework) breaking up slowly fine china cherry blossom nectar of the gods i don’t wanna go (hypothetical rework) arcadia dealer dance till we die living legend for free white dress its a story oriented playlist so i wonder if anyone can guess what the storyline i planned out for the track list was ?
  7. i fear this new era without lanas socials will inspire us all to be way more dedicated to finding shit out. not like invading her privacy but in the sense that we’ll work harder to find out what cool projects she’s working on. our gossip girl era is upon us.
  8. i hope she’s joking cause where are we supposed to get all our updates ???
  9. i’m searching their website for any names i might recognize to see if i can confirm this ? im gonna need help tho
  10. it’s possible… but it’s a pretty out there statement to just have been thought of randomly ? also i’m not sure this person even listens to lana 0_0
  11. one of my IRL mutuals just retweeted this… WHAT??? RECORD AN ALBUM???
  12. aracadia is truly her best song in years. i can't remember the last time i felt so excited for a LDR album. i'm always excited, but this song is truly special. the production is stellar and gorgeous and makes me feel like i'm riding round LA in the late summer without a care. she truly captured something ethereal and wonderful. I am so beyond excited.
  13. as a writer myself, it makes me so happy to see Lana come into her own for this record. she was the main inspiration behind me getting into writing poetry and music, and while I feel like all her albums demonstrate just how talented she is as a writer, this record will no doubt hit close to home for me, as it feels like it will be her most california inspired album yet, but with a bigger emphasis on authenticity and a down to earth writing style that still feels poetic and true to her. it's why honeymoon is my favorite Lana album, as a native California girl. it feels like a love letter to the beauty as well as a critique on the seedy underbelly of the state. with arcadia, it feels like a love song to the west coast and the beauty of the mundanity found within it. with it feels like more of a lynchian surrealist commentary on the dark goings on behind the scenes, therefore the twin peaks vibe she goes for on this one makes total sense. soooo excited to see what other themes she explores so soon!
  14. to all of those who are still debating whether or not they should listen to the leaks:
  15. i made a full extended version to thunder using plastiscguy's gorgeous piano "fake leak" and i kinda like it hehe.
