  1. the grammys put the submissions in whatever category they think the album belongs in though, so it won’t really matter what category they submit her into.
  2. when will y’all learn that lana does not care anymore about either charts or critical reception? she’s moved on from that and i really don’t know why everyone on here is so invested in the numbers the album is doing. she made this for us. not for other people. most importantly and most obviously though, she made this album for her. music is art and not just a job to her. i swear some of you don’t even listen to the lyrics because if you did youd understand that she has always been more interested in the art than in the money. get a life, go outside, touch some grass, and enjoy this album. or don’t. it’s that’s simple.
  3. okay so i have finally had time to sit with fingertips and read all the lyrics. this might be her saddest song to date. i understand why some may not like it. but i personally think it’s one of her most revealing and moving songs ever. it’s up there with the grants. this album really sums up my life and headspace right now. not really knowing what’s going to happen to me in the future, trying to live in the moment, trying to grieve, trying to have fun, trying to make sense of it all, trying to figure out what went wrong. it feels like she’s holding up a mirror to me, and i really needed to hear a lot of these songs when i did.
  4. their friendship and creative relationship is so cute. i hope for more collabs in the future and really hope they release a full duet someday!
  5. okay so did anyone ever mention the fact that she says “never gonna die” in the background of jimmy in a&w
  6. still fucking shook by the soulja boy sample/interpolation/part that sounds similar in taco truck x vb. as if this album couldn’t be any weirder and out there.
  7. i think she’s talking about the way frankenstein’s monster was stitched together using body parts from corpses, and how early in her career she was accused of being inauthentic or “fake” and just the creation of someone else, without a soul of her own.
  8. i neeeed lana to do a surprise drop with no pre-release singles next era. imagine hearing the singles from this album for the first time in context with the rest of the record. like obviously they’re all stunning on their own, but i just know a surprise lana release would end me.
  9. hands on your knees angelina jolie hands on your knees im angelina jolie lemme put my hands on your knees you can braid my hair do a fat cris-cross in the back somewhere
  10. right? music as an art form often is self-indulgent. that’s kinda one of the things about being a singer songwriter. sticking to a vision and telling a story that only you can tell.
  11. okay just got back from target and the vinyl is actually a dark pink! i was nervous it was just gonna be red, but they really delivered!
  12. listening to this one for the first time while high as fuck was such a correct choice.
