  1. paris, texas has been stuck in my head all day. when you know, you know…
  2. i loveeee the melody and lyrics and chords and almost everything about it. the vocal production is beautiful. im not crazy about the drums in it though. other than that, i really enjoy it for the most part
  3. candy necklace makes me feel like im in a classic gothic romance novel. it’s giving rebecca. it’s giving lurking around a dark castle with a huge candlestick in a long nightgown at night.
  4. personally, i love both interludes on the album. they add such an interesting layer to the songs. also im listening to the album for the first time with wired earbuds instead of my airpods or on vinyl- and it sounds so much better and clearer. ive noticed so much more little details in the music i’ve missed the first couple times around.
  5. now that i’ve had time, heres my (first) ranking. i love all of these songs, genuinely. and i think this is the first time ive had a completely no-skip album from her (i skip tnbar sometimes on nfr which is my fav from her though i don’t consider it a bad song). i won’t rank the interludes because there’s really no point. also my top 3 are kinda interchangeable and this was incredibly difficult to rank. fingertips kintsugi grandfather candy necklace grants a&w taco truck paris, texas tunnel peppers let the light in sweet margaret fishtail
  6. well merch and vinyl is more than likely handled by her team and not her. as for reviews, she’s happy people like it? that doesn’t mean that she cares when other people don’t. also, have you ever made a single positive contribution to this thread? or do you simply exist here to take up space and run your mouth? i would say it’s getting old, but it’s been well past that point for months now.
  7. the grammys put the submissions in whatever category they think the album belongs in though, so it won’t really matter what category they submit her into.
  8. when will y’all learn that lana does not care anymore about either charts or critical reception? she’s moved on from that and i really don’t know why everyone on here is so invested in the numbers the album is doing. she made this for us. not for other people. most importantly and most obviously though, she made this album for her. music is art and not just a job to her. i swear some of you don’t even listen to the lyrics because if you did youd understand that she has always been more interested in the art than in the money. get a life, go outside, touch some grass, and enjoy this album. or don’t. it’s that’s simple.
  9. okay so i have finally had time to sit with fingertips and read all the lyrics. this might be her saddest song to date. i understand why some may not like it. but i personally think it’s one of her most revealing and moving songs ever. it’s up there with the grants. this album really sums up my life and headspace right now. not really knowing what’s going to happen to me in the future, trying to live in the moment, trying to grieve, trying to have fun, trying to make sense of it all, trying to figure out what went wrong. it feels like she’s holding up a mirror to me, and i really needed to hear a lot of these songs when i did.
  10. their friendship and creative relationship is so cute. i hope for more collabs in the future and really hope they release a full duet someday!
  11. okay so did anyone ever mention the fact that she says “never gonna die” in the background of jimmy in a&w
  12. still fucking shook by the soulja boy sample/interpolation/part that sounds similar in taco truck x vb. as if this album couldn’t be any weirder and out there.
