As someone on the left I get these sentiments. you’re allowed to not like Lana based on her marriage and personal decisions But at the same time it’s kind of ugly to rant about how much you no longer like someone on a forum dedicated to them, when 90% on the people on here are longtime fans who really enjoy her work I’ve been a fan since 2012. I’ve also grown into my political beliefs within the past 5 years, and I continue to do so, so I often find myself upset about her apolitical and/or neoliberal takes My instinct is really just to enjoy her musical output. She’s not someone who I know personally. I really try to focus on her creative life, entertain some drama occasionally, but at the end of the day these people are going to disappoint you if you project your own beliefs onto them.

I really don't think she's a republican in the sense that she's out there voting for trump. I found her voter registration a while ago and she's registered independent in NY. pretty sure she voted for Kamala if I had to guess. I think that she's a neoliberal Democrat which is basically a republican, but she's fundamentally a capitalist, a multimillionaire, and therefore disconnected from the plight of working people. That's fine. I'm not looking for her takes on the working class. I'm looking for her to tell her own story because I've been following her for a decade and I like her as a person. Lol
