The only correlation I can think of is that Lana also used the name "Angelina" in Cherry Blossom

 

That doesn't mean she was talking about Angelina Jolie though, or that CB and Peppers are supposed to relate in any way lol but I do think it is kinda interesting 

 

Thank you for taking the time to respond to the question about its relevance!   It really is intriguing, and I’m also curious how much of the sample will be retained with this in mind! I think we’re in for a treat

Babes, you're not following me. Tommy Genesis wrote that lyric, and Lana is just sampling it. Tommy Genesis said this about the song though: "I felt like being Angelina Jolie, so I made this song. I think it’s weird AF but I also think people will fuck with the abstract & psychotic lyrics."

Does that phrase have any established relationship to that person, though, or do we think Lana was just rhyming?

I don’t watch a ton of movies or keep up with celebrities much (other than Lana lol), so I wasn’t sure!

I lack a lot of knowledge on pop culture, but does the Kintsugi-teased phrase 

have any relationship to the individual that follows the lyric? Or do we think she’s just rhyming?

This isn’t a Blue Banisters diss at all, but DYKTTATUOB seems a lot like how I expected BB to be: completely fresh work, heavier atmosphere and sonic pop sensibilities despite being piano-based, a handful of angrier tracks, noticeable shifts in mood, etc. 

Of course, Blue Banisters does share some of these qualities (though I initially expected them to be more amplified), and my mind could completely change about LDR9; after all, I’ve only heard 1 track, and the rest of my assumptions are based off of the observations of others.
 

That being said, I think Lana’s enthusiasm for this record, its alleged rollout, and the praise of others with vastly different tastes are promising, and I’m sure there is some merit to what insiders have divulged, so I’m excited!

Since not much is going on, which songs would you all like to hear in a hypothetical album trailer Alternatively, are there any you hope aren’t there for the sake of spoiling the track?

Personally, I think Peppers x The Grants x Title Track x Paris, Texas would be a fun mix!
 

I especially want to reserve Taco Truck, Fishtail, A&W, and Grandfather for the album’s release (assuming no singles).

Sonically, I think Sweet will sound like Lana’s cover of You Must Love Me maybe with some Love-song-esque lyricism sprinkled in!

Echoing what @burthday kake said, people hating on Lana’s friend group in general makes me sad…even as far as to blame them for why they don’t like Lana’s music??? Oh well

This is how I feel as well. I mean, creating a completely new record itself is a lot of work, and I know if I were her and had been in the industry that long, I’d probably just want to chill and make art without the excess promotional aspect as well. 
 

I totally get why people love the visuals/tours/etc, but I think it’s also important to remember she’s human as well. At this point, she doesn’t really need promotion, and she’s mentioned tours being taxing as well (not to mention her personal safety!), but who knows! Maybe she’ll surprise us, but I’m personally pretty content with just getting albums right now (as long as she’s willing)!
