The spoken part at the beginning of this is by Janet Mock (a trans woman) and Blood Orange doesn’t identify as either straight nor gay

Perhaps the Self-Loathing Poet Award - for Best Blogger may even inspire others to make their life their poetry, aside from their lovemaking being their legacy (or whatever you like to post in there.)
I know I'm super super late to this, but I really wanted to say thank you to whoever took the time to nominate me. I didn't run a campaign at all nor did I start posting a blog until December. I know I'm the least participating member on this site, but it feels so nice to be seen! Thank you a billion! This is the sweetest! ❤️

This is such a great idea for a thread! ❤️
I think the Devendra mentioned on MySpace could possibly be Devendra Banhart. He’s mentioned on the Interview magazine interview from September of 2020.
Spoiler“…The best thing I ever did was tour the Midwest. I got to know Weyes Blood and Hamilton Leithauser. Devendra Banhart was texting me. I found my heart and I was super happy there. I’m driving back from there now and I didn’t want to leave.”
Wish I had more to go off besides his mentioning, but that’s my guess. ❤️

Been listening to this on repeat for a few days now, and the first line makes me miss the snow so much. It’s been a few years now, and even though I didn’t know what I was doing then, I miss doing the simple things in life. ❤️

Watching those 2009 videos made me realize how not everybody makes it big. I'm so happy for her success, and glad she's inspired many today! ❤️

I’m not an artist, but I had a question about this. If someone wins, does LDRVillage obtain sole property over the submitted art? As in, if an artist’s piece gets selected, does the artist relinquish all rights making LDRVillage the sole owner and profiter of merchandise?

I just finished watching Last Night in Soho, and I think it's a great film.
I'm not a huge film buff, so I don't really complain about the details. I mainly either like a movie or I don't, but I would definitely recommend this one. ❤️
SpoilerThoughts:
It kind of bothered me how practically all the men, except for Eloise's love interest, were sort of creeps. Especially the cop who was flirting with Eloise, but didn't bother once to properply introduce himself. Maybe if he did, she would've known he wasn't Jack and she wouldn't have been as paranoid by him.
i was also interested by the plot twist mainly for bringing a "complex" idea with no right or wrong aspect to it. Sadie killed all those men, and it's understood why she did so; however her actions weren't necessarily the "right" approach. I like how, therefore, she's not a good or bad character, she just is.
The movie isn't quite perfect, but I personally enjoyed it! ❤️

Happy 8th birthday, Ultraviolence! 🖤
SpoilerIf I remember correctly, I discovered Lana somewhere around 2014, and at the time I wasn't a die-hard fan that kept up with all the news and all the new singles. I was unaware of what was to come; I was unaware of the soon-to-be existence of Ultraviolence. I wasn't ready for the impact that this album would have on me. Although I don't relate to the lyrics entirely, the overall atmosphere of the record made me feel understood for once, especially at a time where I was going through a downward spiral. Time and time again, I revisit this record and I feel less lonely in the world, acknowledged by its existence. Truth be told, I'm no better today than I was then, but sometimes I think about Lana and her evolution. I don't think I've ever reached a sense of stability in my life, not happiness just simple stability, but I'm hopeful that someday I may.
