Same goes for 'Banana Well' being used as a placeholder title for Mad Hatter's music video on that videographer's website.

Just skimmed through this, hello Dead to Me "EDM demo" leaked, I'm pretty sure it's one of the Skizzy Mars versions. There's at least two versions of Seesaw. The second version is what leaked, it exists in both mp3 and wav format. There's no official exports of Drowning, the screenshot with "Drowning.mp3" and "Drowning.m4a" were files bounced by fans without all the correct plugins. One Love also doesn't tag his files like that. The songs themselves are real — although Floating, I'm Cumming and Missing Him in 4K are fake titles (I'm sure you're aware but just saying). Rough After School era demos. The "song about racism" is from 2017, but was seemingly written after the original K-12 album was finished; being worked on around the same time as Trophy/Notebook. These were intended for the album's planned deluxe, which later turned into After School.

Some Melanie songs, especially 2013 EP era stuff, were heavily reworked. Dear Porcupines has an interesting history: Acoustic self-production The Elev3n (two leaked demso) Studio acoustic by Miles Nasta Doveman (four leaked mixes) And she was going to have it re-produced again for Cry Baby but ultimately, this never happened (as far as we know). Notably though, these were mostly just production changes rather than lyrical differences. Another example of this is Play Date— which started off as a piano ballad with Jennifer Decilveo, before being remade by Michael Keenan!

Ok yeah it was actually May 2017 when someone added that to the Wiki page (with no reference/source!!) but I just spoke about this with some friends on Discord and I've come to the conclusion it was very likely fake news. Just a reminder that Melanie having more than one song of the same name isn't uncommon. For example; the same thing happened with Tunnel Vision and Labyrinth. Not happening anytime soon. Except in your dreams, maybe

2/3 of my main favs releasing albums this year and meanwhile Sky hasn't put one out in nearly 10 years. Much to think about…

Melanie's always been open about being a Björk fan. I wouldn't call it a ripoff if she wants to pay homage while putting her own spin on it. It's not like the aesthetic is a Björk invention anyways— a quick Google search shows that her makeup artist was doing similar stuff long before they started working together. Not to mention, people have done moss/fungi imagery long before her.

So for some additional trivia/context on this - Can't Shake You was actually a pitch demo for someone else, recorded in July 2013 while she was working on her scrapped EP from the same year. That's why it sounds so drastically different from Cry Baby (and afterwards) era Melanie We have a little clip from that songwriting session
