Cooties sounds perfectly fine to me, for me its Arts and Crafts.... the whole song sounds muffled but especially her voice and it drives me insane. But im not sure if its bc it was edited or the quality got messed up bc sometimes Melanie's songs just seem to be produced like that... its the same with Coloring Book although I did find a version of it that sounded less muffled but it was probably edited. I think it might be the production itself cuz The Principal and HSS have vocals that sound weird and kinda lq even tho theyre technically not... like kinda more "scratchy" if that makes sense?? the rest of the album sounds normal too its just with those two songs. SPEAKING OF.. can someone PLEASE remaster Arts and Crafts. A while ago I saw someone make an edit of WDBCF that made the vocals sound clearer and thats the same thing the song needs, but that person hasnt been here in a long time so

just wait until more outtakes leak and youll be able to make like a whole B sides type album that has its own cohesive sound. Since its Melanie we'll probably get 10+ K-12 era leaks

yeah, the whole "unhappy meal was part of early K-12" started from speculations that turned into rumors people spread as facts. People started saying it was recorded in 2018/16/17 bc of how Mel said that MM2 would be in the pov of other characters alot and the song seems to be in the pov of molly mcdolly (even tho im pretty sure shes not even real just a metaphor lmao) and people thought MM2 would be about Crybaby's town (which was never even true because since the beginning mel said it was gonna be about a SPECIFIC PLACE in CB's town but for some reason people never got the memo even tho she said it like a million times) and then when K-12 happened ppl switched it up to it being part of early MM2 where it was ab crybabys town even tho it was obviously gonna be about crybabys school since she hinted at it since the beginning But also I wanna say that supposing Unhappy Meal had been recorded after Cry Baby's release it wouldnt rlly have changed the fact that MM2 was always gonna be ab school. Its not impossible for Melanie to have worked on songs for K-12 that took place in the setting and story but didnt have school references in the title and lyrics, which would also be a possible reason for her having scrapped it. This happened alot with songs she made for CB. I mean Unhappy Meal couldve easily taken place at lunchtime in K-12. Maybe some characters in the movie get their lunch from Molly Mcdolly's Burger Shack.. A commercial playing on a tv in the cafeteria (kinda like Mrs Potato Heads starting scene), just Crybaby's (or whatever character the songs POV wouldve been in in the movie's) imagination. The song is obviously some sort of metaphor. Most likely about someone using someone in a relationship and playing with their feelings. It couldve been in K-12 in alot of ways. But bottom line is... it was a Cry Baby era outtake.

I think its a mix of both, michael chooses to overproduce and water down songs to make them sound more "full" or "put together" and Mel chooses to use those instead of earlier and better versions of the songs.. but Im not in the studio with them so it could be diff idk theres many ways these choices couldve been made.

he said he was going to leak it all very soon and he immedietly started getting death threats and ppl starting trying to hack him and doxx him the second he talked ab it which is why he decided not to leak it like he was going to. It all happened in like a matter of hours so its not like he was teasing it for weeks or even days he literally put out those two pics and ppl couldnt even wait an hour without doing all that shit

Cry Baby was produced by alot of diff producers (Cj Baran, Smarterchild, Alias frequency, someone called babydaddy (???) but Kinetics & One Love made most of the songs and Keenan made two (Pacify Her and Play Date). Michael Keenan made all of K-12 besides Drama Club which is why the production feels alot more watered down and "boring" compared to Cry Baby. Alot of the songs have the same type of beats and are just kinda bland compared to CB. I dont think hes a bad producer in general his songs are all nice to listen to but working on all the songs with him was a bad choice bc his production just doesnt have enough diverse sounds like K&OL's and other producers does. Keenan's prod is good for two or three tracks but not all of em.

I mean she's working with K&OL and keenan for this album and if it leaks she'll probably stop working with kinetics for it and maybe even future projects since Im pretty sure the reason its out there is bc K&OL get hacked very easily.. I feel like thats also the reason she worked with keenan on almost all of K-12 so unless u want a keenan-production exclusive album again lets pray it doesnt leak

Im not sure tbh, I kinda like K-12's more mature direction taken compared to this but I just absolutely hate the K-12 photoshoot because even tho the photos were all good they had nothing to do with the albums theme at all, none of them were related to the school theme so it didnt even feel like an album photoshoot it felt like a random photoshoot. Idk it feels kinda lazy and out of theme esp compared to how Mel usually does things so I feel like just the fact that these are actually school themed might make me like this photoshoot more.
