idk why i go on lolcow, i just like reading the celebricows thread for celebrity drama/rumors. they are SO fucking mean about lana it legit hurts my feelings. nevermind the bodyshaming comments, they talk poorly on her character. i posted a picture of the billboard selfie and said she looks gorgeous and a couple others agreed and said "she is beautiful inside and out." someone said she is a terrible person and i asked why. because everytime this argument comes up ALL they can come up with is the lyrics to "put me in a movie" when they don't even understand what the song is about - the dark side of casting couches. anyway apparently she's a "horrible person" because of her last ex, "no normal woman would date THAT", & someone else said "She single handedly created the culture of tumblr sugar baby romanticizing fucking old men for money." and i'm so fucking tired of people saying that. sorry i just needed to vent. i really hate people who hate lana. it's one thing not to like her music, that doesn't bother me one bit because i understand tastes. but she doesn't deserve the vile things they say about her.

god i would LOVE a collage of every magazine cover she's ever done

aw well we would have been happy either way, I don't think we would have minded waiting two more weeks for the vinyl if we have the digital release to hold us over. but Lana does what Lana wants, if there's anything I've learned from her, and idk how her music contract works, maybe she couldn't do the digital release before the vinyls were ready idfk

because of Miley >:( Lana announced her march 10th date first, why wouldn't Miley's managers take that into consideration and make THAT hoe delay hers till the 24th. I am upset. I'm getting traumatic flashbacks from "Rock Candy Sweet the album out in June!" watch her delay it even longer... I hope no one else is releasing on the 24th... hahaha i am cracking up at your quote, i feel the exact same way ever since I saw the "trailer" for Miley's new album. the whole spoken word style just doesn't really fit her

I'm listening to the SUCKERPUNCH album by Maggie Lindemann on repeat, it's so fuckin good seriously if you haven't heard her stuff check it out. She's now my 2nd favorite artist behind Lana. Her Paranoia EP slaps too

this song is growing on me, wasn't my favorite at first but it's really beautiful, and it's really fun to sing <3

okay so she doesn't say "TOESIES" like some ppl on reddit thought, lmfao. I've been wondering if that's what she said or it's "you tried to take all the pink off my toes, and"

I thought this would be a fun idea to see everyone's different answers and tastes! I'll start it off, some of these albums were very hard to pick just three tracks. I'm interested to see other answers because my personal favorites are normally the least favorites in the fandom. Sirens (this was so tough, I adore this entire album) Next to Me My Momma Out With a Bang AKA Pawn Shop Blues Oh Say Can You See Jump Born to Die (fairly easy, these have always been my top 3) Off to the Races Carmen Video Games Paradise Body Electric Gods & Monsters Cola Ultraviolence (this one was incredibly hard, sometimes my top 3 change) Cruel World West Coast Shades of Cool Honeymoon (FAV album, this was the hardest) Honeymoon The Blackest Day Salvatore Lust For Life Heroin 13 Beaches Lust For Life NFR! (this was nearly impossible, my other fav album, love every track) Venice Bitch Fuck it, I Love You California Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass Salamander Sportcruiser Never to Heaven Chemtrails Over the Country Club Tulsa Jesus Freak White Dress Yosemite Blue Banisters Interlude - The Trio (absolutely obsessed, I listen to the hour loop version on youtube while I'm gaming) Black Bathing Suit Wildflower Wildfire Unreleased (super difficult to pick my top 3) French Resturant Velvet Crowbar Wild One (I discovered this when I was dealing with an ex named Mike, so it really hit home lol)

Surely we will be getting another song, or a MV before March 10th? I'm thinking about her previous album rollouts, she always put out a minimum of 2-3 songs out before the album? I know she's not into promoting much these days but I can't remember a time she only released ONE song during an album rollout.

Aw I loved reading all of these, it makes me so happy and I'm so grateful for you @Elle, I know we all are! You've done amazing with this website and we all appreciate it so much. My introduction to Lana was from tumblr. It was January of 2014, before Ultraviolence came out, and I'd only heard of people mentioning Lana on twitter. Never heard any of her music, but I will admit, I did know what she looked like, and I hate to say I kind of judged her appearance and wasn't sure if I'd like her music, so I never really gave it a chance. I thought she would be just another pop artist, and I'm not a huge fan of radio or mainstream pop. Little did I know she was neither of these things. I've had my tumblr blog since 2010, and four years later I'm scrolling down my timeline and I see a song called 'Carmen'. It had like two lines of lyrics under the song, and those lyrics alone got me interested enough to check the song out. I absolutely loved it, I was obsessed on first listen. I felt I related to it heavily because I had just gotten over a bad alcohol addiction. I went to youtube to listen to the rest of the album, and Off to The Races was my favorite (still my favorite from BTD). Then I thought, I've GOT to hear more from this woman. Listened to the Paradise EP and was obsessed, my favorite songs on the first listen are still my favorite from it to this day - Body Electric, Cola, Gods & Monsters. I then started researching more about her, learned about Lizzy Grant, May Jailer, and really just fell in love with her because I felt like we had similar life experiences, I'd never felt this connected to an artist's music since The Weeknd. When West Coast came out, I already knew the album Ultraviolence would be amazing. And it was. I've been a stan ever since. Followed her on everything, kept up with when she would be releasing new music, kept track of any interviews she would do, pretty sure I've listened to every interview there is out there. When the single Honeymoon came out, I can't even explain how obsessed I was with this new, dreamy sound. Honeymoon instantly became my new favorite album and still is to this day. I'll never forget the day I discovered Carmen, my introduction to Lana on tumblr. Shoutout to tumblr for introducing me to LDR, an artist I'm not sure I would have gone out of my way to listen, because I judged her appearance and assumed it would be some type of bubblegum pop. Boy was I wrong. I'd never heard an artist like her in my life. The more I learned about her, the more I fell in love. I also discovered a lot of unreleased tracks that year, and I love pretty much all of them, even the bubblegum pop sounding tracks. The fact that she had hundreds of unreleased music out there pretty much made her the GOAT in my eyes. Carmen will forever be one of my favorite songs by her, there's so many memories attached to it. I also want to add that ever since I heard Carmen, I made a vow to myself to give that name to my first daughter (if I have one). 8 years later and I still haven't changed my mind, Carmen WILL be the name of my first daughter.

What I'm most looking forward to about this record is all brand new, fresh songs! I can't remember if we know already how many songs are gonna be on it? I thought I read 15 or 16 tracks somewhere, but I could just be crazy??? Blue Banisters was lovely in it's own way, but we had already heard 8 out of 15 tracks before the release. Text Book, Blue Banisters, Wildflower Wildfire, Arcadia. And then the unreleased tracks she renamed and redid - Thunder, Nectar of the Gods (Wild on You), Living Legend, Cherry Blossom. I'm glad she included them in the record though, those are some of her best unreleased and the fit perfectly with the theme of the album. Also, nitpick, but I kinda hope Watercolor Eyes isn't on the new record. But Lana does what Lana wants, and I'll love them album regardless. I'm anticipating it to be her best!
