  1. from the vault: the end of the world jump pin up galore yayo (AKA, or the rich whores live) wayamaya disco motel 6 (slo gin slo III demo) me & my boyfriend (marilyn) trash magic (miss america) when i'm with you (re-recorded) my best days riverside the end of the world (cover) a little surf noir, a little bit of this, a little bit of that, cohesive and still can add a 2 more songs if i can think of them
  2. white dress mv reminds me of a soap opera and the only good part is the solo rollerblading! there i said it manifesting something like the honeymoon mvs or uv mvs for this era, truly unmatched. nothing will ever come close besides aka mvs which hold a special place in my heart
  3. lana this is a cry for help say something. wildflower wildfire is godly
  4. she's dropped plenty of singles with videos later (i think ) so i could see a bb video or something coming out a week or two after the single came out. or a beautiful triple video
  5. lfl is maybe my least favorite lana album.... but god, it's so fucking good
  6. i have no words just lana to express my emotions
  7. i need the tracklist. now. and credits and the album cover and the album's official name
  8. this isn't what she intended probably but it reminds me of little 2 or 8 bit game noises, which makes me think of video games...like a call back to her beginning as lana
  9. whenever i get to the second verse i just go completely still
  10. added to the long catalog of lana food and drink songs
  11. i don't miss jack's production at all i listened to some of cocc (tjf, dbjag, wah) after ww today and it felt so much emptier. maybe i'm just anti-jack now but i refuse to give in to this revisionist history
  12. wildflower sounds very space-y to me after the 1 minute mark... it's those synths and the effects and the "stardust" lyrics what lfl (change. get free. the ballads) wishes she could be
  13. the thing is, i don't think lana deeply cares about having super high streaming numbers and super commercially successful songs. people always try to argue that her label cares and yes, they do, but she'll always pull numbers from a tight fanbase and has been consistently successful. and has also had quite a long career. the fading into obscurity thing is a whole different deal - but i don't think she really will. coming from someone extremely biased... she's had such an impact on music (BTD and UV are staples, NFR is loved by many, etc etc) that i don't really ever see her fading away. it's not like she's currently releasing bad music – it's just less palatable to the general public. same thing happened with honeymoon and she came back and delivered arguably her most commercial album. i don't see the longevity of her career or her success being ruined because she's not releasing commercially successful songs (as singles) anymore/right now
  14. youtube official audio views wildfire wildflower 559,797 blue banisters 523,445 text book 425,178 i honestly think ww has such low streaming numbers on spotify because of the UI and organization of it all, for me tb and bb are really easily accessible (literally) but i have to search for ww. youtube numbers are much less surprising
  15. still hoping for more 60s-70s donovan crimson & clover knockin on heaven's door vibes... a little guitar a little psychedelia a little paradise tour a little oddness would be so good. sort of spacey with some mike synths... minor instrumental effects like in ww. glowing and beautiful. imagine
  16. i mean this feels fake. but if it was real i wouldn't complain
  17. hope we get more beautiful beautiful beautiful lyrics like "cause there's a man that's in my past, there's a man that's still right here, he's real enough to touch, in my darkest nights, he's shining" "summer comes, winter goes, spring i skip heaven knows... summer comes, winter goes, spring i sleep heaven knows"
  18. i get so much delight from reading @Rorman Nockwell's posts because there's at least thoughts like fully formed thoughts in there not to return to the topic... i was asleep!! but i agree about the namedropping... if lana is on a path to becoming an even more non-commercial artist, which she truly has never been, it just doesn't make sense for her to drop commercial names (nikki lane... in full) into her songs. or at least is just less appealing. because it makes her seem like she just wanted to name drop a few people without much meaning to it, since she's taken strides away from that kind of recognition... i dont know what i mean but maybe you besties will understand!
  19. i love the song but i'm also still looking for MORE from mr mike
  20. exactly, her vocals are beautiful and the instrumentals are as well but references to her friends & "now they paint my blue banisters greeeeen" just feels disingenuous or corny to me. just doesn't quite hit the mark personally, but when i listened to it i thought it was cute! ww remains my top song, and i haven't listened to tb enough to figure out how i feel about it these songs all feel like songs that have to grow on you, so we'll see
  21. you win in unpopular opinions just kidding just teasing ww is the most interesting song to me, text book is wonderful but right now not quite my taste. lyrically bb falls very flat for me but sonically it's gorgeous! in terms of lyrics and instrumentals ww is my favorite
  22. i can't wait for this album, i have so much hope for it and i'm so excited!!!
  23. wildfire is definitely my favorite track of the day, we'll see how bb and textbook grow on me but wildfire just clicked
