  1. y'all have nerve for calling Rosi untalented... :tommy:

MOTOMAMI is my current AOTY and that whole album is proof of her genius :oprah3:

the fact that lana could've listened to the album just gives me that buzz like??? she always has taste

and cocc :toofunny: … n not really. if i can understand the song immediately almost to its full depth on the first listen, im not having to really think about it. its too easy. lana is an amazing writer and such an intellectual. i just wish she would try a little harder with her lyrics.

even Interlude - The Trio is proof that whatever Lana writes is bible worthy :oprah3:

its not having repeated lyrical content that im worried about, i know lana always switches it up, but i worry about yet another album with a very “on the nose” and “right there” writing style. you listen once n can basically understand what each lyric is about. i miss her mystery.

i guess her lyrics dont make you think and analyze them as much as they used to.

the on the nose writing still made you analyze them either way - and that was just for bb

I’m sorry but sweet Caroline is nowhere near a great gif or a good closer. And while I do think this album is something special and exciting I can’t trust jack or drew. Also her having fun doesn’t mean that the album is going to be good. I mean she said her and Dan fought the whole time during uv but look where it took us (I am not hoping this for her during making a record tho don’t get me wrong).

listen to the album and you'll understand why sweet carolina is that bitch - literally sums up the whole album's themes perfectly.

her and dan did fight and clashing in ideas still makes good shit too - which eventually lead her to decide on the album's sound based on cruel world alone so

i just used nfr as an example because...well look at her!

  6. first of all, rob gave us an LDR classic with Sweet Carolina and IDGAF if nobody likes it it's literally one of his greatest gifts + an iconic closer on so many levels

second, drew erickson graced us with TITANIC RISING and some iconic bangers on Blue Banisters + FJM's latest album so eat SHIT if you're having ANY doubts.

third, jack antonoff is a genius and don't come for me, he may have some shitty choices but they pay off, if anything if we saw how much fun they had making NFR (and as recently evident it seems like they're having a ton of fun with this album) we're in for a fucking doozy.

lastly, if rob fucking grant says it's an epic record then it IS an epic record :oprah3:

i love her ad-libs and especially the outro - FJM's version sounds a bit empty, but Lana keeps ad-libbing after the chorusses and the outro, which i loooooooooove.

FJM comes in for the outro too, and it sounds amazing. idk why he didnt keep these vocals for his version, he did record them after all?

the way she pronounces "knew" though... lana baby what

she just knows how to embody a song it's literally why NONE of her covers are horrible
