the drama can be funny at times but i cant stand the jack hate train every week i am relatively excited for this album. im really hoping this album will be enough to pull me into lanas world again. i feel like ive been loving lana as a person lately (which i always have) but not as a musician. i love her happy, peaceful, and carefree aura but the music just isnt clicking with me. i am also convinced that dragonwhore is lfl

i agree i just want lana to get her passion and interest back. she rushed the past 2 albums n it shows. she doesn’t have to revert back to a certain sound… i just want her to take her time, gather experiences, take a look back at her journals, and find production that fits n produces an atmosphere.

she sounds bored in vfr, llylaw, iyldwm, wah, dbjag, beautiful, to name a few

its not slow tempos… listen to her vocals from hm or uv (even nfr) compared to cocc or bb…. she is literally bored n sounds like shes singing against her will

i can see what youre saying but the other user is right in saying its a weakness. the beauty of Paradise, UV, and HM is in the magnificent and atmospheric production along with her beautiful, emotional, passionate voice and intricate lyricism. most of the songs COCC and BB are boring and lana herself sounds bored.

im in a weird limbo bc i feel like ive grown out of the btd/uv/hm/lfl albums (dont get me wrong, theyre all amazing- some more than others… just listened to them too much and have grown away from the lyrical content) and her recent work besides nfr and a few songs from chemtrails, isnt clicking with me. idk what im gonna do if this next album is boring n the same old sound

i want the poetry book/audiobook before ldr9 i wish she wouldve taken a small break with music but since shes already started the album i hope she sits on it and makes it as good as it can be and in the meantime, she should release her poetry. we need some time between these albums or else theyre all gonna clump together and feel too similar.

lana fits the fjm sound so well. i wish she would migrate her sound in that direction. she sounds best with live/rich/woodsy/rock/bluesy/jazzy instrumentation
