I’m not really feeling the demos/leaked songs being on the album yet. The songs feel thrown on, the songs have been homeless for years and it feels weird they will have a home.  These demo songs ‘tell her story’ ? I’m not really buying that, I think she just needed songs to fill up the album so just pulled them out the draw.

I think she always wanted to release these songs but never had the chance, because they were out of concept with COCC, NFR and so on. Now she has an album for ballads and slower songs, where they finally fit. It must be hard for an artist to produce very good stuff which never sees the daylight.

Omg when I think about that era and how people were assholes. I swear if Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Elish or some popstar worshipped by teens used an amateur photo they would've been called reletable, down to earth, raw etc. but since Lana the "Karen" and the "Republican" did it's automatically bad. Also, I don't know if you're aware but people still haven't emotionally recovered from QFTC and the mesh mask thing and that was clear when people were celebrating on Twitter when she announced her quitting social media. It still baffles me how some celebs can travel, go clubbing, act like assholes, drug and rob etc. and be completely overlooked while Lana is still being slammed for taking pics with a couple of fans more than a year ago.

Maybe people think she's something like a role model. If you're in a certain position people judge you harder for every little mistake, but it also can be a sign that they have special respect for you.

  4. The bridge reminds me a little bit of that from "Living Legend".

Her relationship to religion seems to be very close

    Jesus is my bestest friend

She is also currently wearing a necklace with a little diamond cross which she got from XIV Karats.

I think Text Book is about multiple people. I guess you could call it text book, I was looking for the father I wanted back to me suggests that she was in a pattern of using men to replace her father, rather than just one person.

She also at one point says maybe just the way we're different could set me free and then later people say we're too much alike, but maybe that will finally make it right which again suggests that the song is about multiple relationships, and her overall experience through her text book daddy issues. Given that the album is meant to tell her whole story, it makes sense that she'd start with a topic like this one that people have always associated her with, especially earlier in her career when she sang more about toxic relationships and used the word daddy so often. :true:

The fact that the album ends with Lana not replacing her father with another man, but actually having him back is so truly beautiful :wowcry:

Is she always talking about her real daddy? ;)

I'm bored and this is a great distraction from an interview I'm nervous about tomorrow so:

    No correlation. Period.

Taylors success is stunning. Her music is ok, nothing what knocks my socks off. Her activity on instagram is very reserved, she gets not much more likes than Lana in her posts, despite she has nine times as much followers.

  7. Maybe she/they want to test, how many people really like her music, without all the social media hype, promotion etc., like with the three singles dropped surprisingly in May with this unmotivated cover image ... It's very admirable that she wants to convince with her music only and nothing more.

  8. She was the answer to the "internet generation", most of her fans stream her music on spotify and apple music, she had more ig followers than Oprah, Arsenal London or Gisele Bündchen. So I think social media is more important than anything else for her.

Sometimes I think Lana will come back to Instagram when she takes a bomb selfie and can't resist the urge to post it :xgiggle:

Sometimes I'm asking myself if she is really the type of person to wants to post such selfies or is it her management who urge her for promotion?
