I personally think they’re on the same level. I like the vocals and lyrics of The Grants more, but I like the structure, production, and buildup of DYK more. Both great songs.

I think the Grants is a good single because I think it’s central theme introduces us to a big theme on the album which is family. Hot take but whatever

I think it’s a great intro to the album though. I think in a standalone song, or in the single version, it’s not great. But when listening to the album with that to start I think is fun personally.

If I had anything to guess about the intentions. I think Lana is very much still a Christian (considering she has been spotted at Church recently) but she was going through a dark period of her life and her belief in God may have been disrupted and became foggy. I don’t think Judah would have hopped on the album if it was just a song to mock him and Christianity, I think there’s a deeper meaning to it. She contains multitudes after all.
